Is that because you're a lesbian?
That's  undoubtedly from his lesbianic gene....possibly from a past life.  For all we know, he's the reincarnation of Alice. B. Toklas.

I think this has been the week for songs stuck in my mind...

At one time or another during the week:

Bolero from CArmen
Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia by ABba
4th of July from THe Brain from Planet X
Puppy Love by Donny Osmond
Lucky STar by Madonna
Ring of Fire by Johnny CAsh....

A few hours ago, DR Michael S kindly picked me up at my hotel, and chauffeured me over to Houston's where we me up with DR ArnoldMBrockman and his DW (Dear Wife) Roni.

We managed to get a table outside which happened to be one the water - well, at least by one of the water ways - and one of the draw bridges too.

It was great seeing DR Michael S again, and it was a true pleasure finally getting to meet DR Arnold Brockman - especially since I tend to run into his son in NYC on a weekly basis.  We had a had a wonderful meal, shared some great stories, and, surprisingly, none of us had dessert(!!).

After dinner, Michael brought me back to my hotel.

All in all, a very nice evening. :)

Speaking of DR Sing, whom I believe someone once called DR Rickshaw--one of the sillier, yet funny lines, in ADRIFT IN MACAO is the femme fatale yelling, "Rickshaw, Rickshaw!"  A man comes up and says, "Yes?  I'm Rick Shaw..."

The whole "Rick Shaw" joke worked like gangbusters on stage.  In fact, I the whole show worked better on stage that it does on record, imho.

Dang, the cruise lines must already be taking a hit from the high fuel prices.  I just got an offer for a 14 night cruise on Celebrity Cruise Lines from Auckland to Sydney including round trip air, starting at $2,799.00 per person.

Yep.  Even some of theme parks are offering gas cards and other travel rebates right now as part of their vacation packages.

I think Stanley Tucci deserves an Emmy just for breathing.

I love him, too.

Of course, he won the guest actor comedy Emmy last year for his appearance on MONK (playing the Hollywood version of Monk, a very hilarious impersonation).

Back from Art's Deli - I had my tri-salad - two scoops of turkey salad and one scoop of egg salad, cole slaw and some rye bread - only meal o' the day, so while it was very filling I'm hoping I don't gain anything and/or finally lose a pound or two.  I am determined to be ten pounds thinner in the next four week.  And then ten pounds more each month for the two months following that.  Then I'll be within pounds of my preferred weight.

Hmmm... So... Turkey Salad... Egg Salad... Cole Slaw...  That's a lot of mayo.

Just sayin'.

You really do need to eat more food, and more often.

In other news...

The run-thru for the head of the Entertainment of Norwegian Cruise Lines went very well today.  Tomorrow - our final day of rehearsal - should be an easy day.  There are a few loose ends to take care of, but, otherwise, it will be a day of reviewing and final note-checking.  We'll also be ending the day early in order to give time for everyone to get their packing done - and get some sleep.  -The shuttle for the airport will be getting here on Saturday at 4:30AM.

Had some fun viewing experiences tonight.

I began with THE OLD MAID from the Bette Davis Warners box set. This movie caused the first fight my former partner Steven and I ever had. Neither of us had ever seen it, and I saw it was coming on AMC or some other movie channel. I set the VCR (remember those?) for the length of the movie.

Later, when we were watching it back, we realized that I hadn't figured in enough time for the introduction by the movie channel host, so we missed the last five minutes of the movie.

An innocent mistake and a really stupid fight, but fight we did.

The transfer for THE OLD MAID was dazzling, I thought. One of the best non-special edition transfers of a black and white movie I've seen in ages.
