Finally off the telephonic device - had to have a few conversations with the publisher, who, I must say, is moving much more slowly than I care for. They had a problem with the cover and back cover images that Grant sent - something about it being less than 300 dpi, but it would have been no different than the Hollywood High cover. The photo we used was 180dpi, but then Grant did all his stuff in photoshop and sent them an uncompressed pdf of it, so he says it should print fine. The gal I was talking to was towing the party line and I told her to stop and tried to make her understand this was my eighth book with them and I needed things to move along a little faster. She got terse with me, and that was that - I told her to transfer me to the gal I used to deal with years ago, because whenever I have this sort of thing happen I go right to her - she's very high up on the food chain and gets things done. The gal I was talking to said "I can assure you this is not the way to deal with us" and I replied "And I can assure you this is not the way to deal with me" - she then put me through to my gal, and my gal laughed and assured me she'd figure out what was going on, and what needed to get done and then move this along to the next step immediately. I also told her that the guy who's my new rep never responds to my e-mails or calls, and she said she'd deal with that, too, as she, like me, feels that's unacceptable.
