I normall can see the bay and the land beyond (South San Francisco).

My eyes won't stop watering, and I've been inside the past two hours.

A co-worker just returned from a weekend in Reno. He said the smoke there was horrible.

Had a lovelier than lovely visit with Mr. Nick Redman, and then we went and had some lunch at Vivian's Cafe - I had my usual chicken salad sandwich with bacon and cheese, and NO fries, just some slaw, and he had some scrambled eggs.

Prior to his arrival, I had a computer emergency, one of those weird completely inexplicable happenings. I was in the midst of sending e-mails of sheet music to our leading man - I'd done about six. As I clicked to send the seventh it wouldn't send. I went to AOL to see if there was some problem there, and it wouldn't load anything. I then looked at my wireless bars and they were OFF. I clicked and there was, for the first time ever, a lock icon next to my wireless network. I clicked on it, and it asked for a password. I gave it, for the first time ever, and it wouldn't unlock or take it. I tried unplugging the Airport Extreme, I tried restarting the computer, all to no avail. I then called Apple Care and they talked me through a few things that also didn't work. They were baffled so they switched me over to the Airport Extreme folks. They, too, were baffled. We changed the security that I was using, created a new password that would become part of my keychain so I wouldn't always have to type it in, but it still wouldn't connect. He then had me create a new "location" for the Airport Extreme and that did the trick, so hopefully we're fine from now on. That stuff really freaks me out.

And still, no one could explain exactly why the problem happened - the best guess is some sort of glitch.

Earlier, I mentioned problems with people at the publishers. I went around everyone to the gal who handled my very first book. She's quite high up in the company now, and within five minutes she'd been to the art department, ascertained they could indeed print the cover from what we sent them, moved the process along so I was called today to get my design call scheduled (previously that was going to happen four weeks from now) - that call will now happen Thursday, so I'm guessing that I'll have a galley late next week, plus cover proofs. Once those are approved, that process is done and test books will come to me, so I could conceivably have books in hand within five to six weeks. So, I think I'm going to have the Kritzerland web designer add the book to the site and get it available for preorder late next week. As I've mentioned, I think everyone will really like the little "surprise" that's going to come with the first thirty copies preordered - I may up that to forty copies if the first thirty go really fast.

So... The next time you have lunch there, you should have a grilled chicken sandwich. Preferably on some type of whole grain bread. No bacon. No cheese. However, feel free to add some lettuce and some salmonella-free tomato slices.

I have thought of this. The only thing i can think of is if the mtv website thinks my computer is in the US. I'm sure this is not hard. But alas i am not computer literate enough in this way to know what to do.

I did actually look into this.

But a) i don't have an account there.

and b) they do not make it easy to make a request like this.

They have a bunch of contact issues that are specific. And you are supposed to clip on one of them. They make it quite easy to report a problem or violation. But not to ask a question.

Since the poster lost ALL of her/his clips, he probably had been warned at least once and asked to remove the clips, and when that didn't happen, action was taken.

Most of the material from movies/tv/stage on YOUTUBE belongs to somebody, or many somebodies....and those broadcast rights are controlled and protected.

I think you are right. That someone protests a specific video and that person's account gets suspended.

The thing i didn't get (and still don't get) is the people who would have found issue with these videos would have found issue with others that are basically exactly same.

My guess now is actually that perhaps the person got in trouble for a different video and it is just their whole account that got removed.
