I was up very late last night, so I'm heading down now to bed.

Good night!

Auditions are over - one of the people is a possibility, but I'm going to look for a couple more days before making the decision.

Now I have to decide about something to eat, as 700 calories is not enough for me.

And, for disclosure's sake, this was elective surgery (just a shade more serious than cosmetic) not an injury.  It was really an investment to keep my foot from looking and feeling in 30 years like my mother's does now.

I saw that foot today in the footwashing lesson on one of the older ladies today. You are wise to have the surgery now.

Variety has an article on the SUMMER SHORTS 2 festival for which Skip is one of the writers.

Back from a quick meal at Hugo's.  I was actually quite hungry, as my jog today was at full speed and went a little longer than usual.  Plus, I'd only eaten that pretty small sandwich for lunch.  So, I had Papa's Eggs - scrambled eggs and turkey sausage and scallions - very tasty, very reasonable portion (definitely not more than two eggs), and a little fruit on the side - no bread.  It was just right.

I was up getting my mail this afternoon and I decided to jog there instead of my usual route.  Since I didn't know distances there, I did what I thought was similar, but it, in fact, was longer.  It was fun to switch up the nabe - lots of new things to look at, plus I really put some speed in the jog today for the first time since I started jogging again.

I must say, people have finally moved in to the house to the north of me and they are a complete bunch of guttersnipe lowlifes.  They hang out outside a lot (perhaps their place isn't air-conditioned).  My guess is that someone inherited the house, since it was never up for sale.  They hang out, talk loud, guffaw, and unfortunately they do this on the side of their house that is next to my bedroom.  Thankfully, they seem to migrate inside by eleven.

Dear Reader Laura leaves without so much as a post.  Will JMK do the same?

I may leave without a post, especially if I leave my post here and I don't take it with me.

What am I doing up so late?  Still ruminating over the experience of having seen TITLE OF SHOW tonight.  I suspect struggling theater writers will find it hilarious, insightful and disturbing; I have no idea how people who have no interest in being in the world of theatre will relate to it.  But I will say that the much-minimized-by-some production values are no less elaborate than many other shows for which I've paid close to $100 a ticket, and I suspect that whatever the "official" ticket price is, very few people are paying anywhere near that.  They must label the ticket $110 to get $47.50; one of the things producers must deal with in the 2000's.  But the physical set is even more elaborate than that for Spring Awakening, Xanadu or A Chorus Line, let alone Equus and other plays, as far as this scenically-untrained eye can see.

Maybe I'll go post those very same thoughts elsewhere and see if it starts a little tumult.

I'm ketchuping.  My family (parents, visiting aunts, etc.) got together at my sister's house and we all played Phase 10, but I got there late.  I watched for a while and when my mom decided to read the paper, I took over for her.  I did not win at all.  My sister made a strawberry dessert and it was very good.  After the game was over, my mom and my two aunts wanted to go to the casino...again.  They've gone several times and just love it.  They only play the penny slots, so they're never dealing with much money, but they just love it.

Since my dad came to my sister's with my mom and his sisters, I had to drive him home and install an under-the-counter CD player for my mom.  It was fairly easy to do and it all worked.  After that, I installed a new kitchen faucet.  Taking out the old faucet was a pain (as usual), but putting in the new one was very easy.
