Well, you've read the notes, the notes appealed to our unknown demographic, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're trying to figure out what their demographic is.

I guess I should try to get some beauty sleep, so I can be perky tomorrow.  If I'm to jog I have to either do it first thing, or directly after the phoner and before the MD gets here.  Of course, I also have to shave and shower.

DR MBarnum, we realliy enjoyed A Rage to Live.  The good old-fashioned kind of film that they don't make any more.  And liked the score, too.

As for Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, well...   We enjoyed that, too.   In a different kind of way.   We laughed a lot!   :)

A.I. brought me to tears.

HHW has a very intelligent, somewhat eccentric demographic, a very cool group.

I think that everyone on this site would enjoy the new film, Tell No One. I enjoyed it on a flight from London to Los Angeles last summer, so much so that I watched it twice!

Yeah.  AI is typical Spielberg treacle.

At the end of the film, the kid gets in bed with his dead mother.  That is so typical Spielberg treacle.

I don't know about you, but I still can't get over the fact that Abu Dhabi now owns the Chrysler Building in New York.

Speaking of Haley Joel Osment (and teh notes were), a little-known fact:  Haley Joel Osment and Tom Hulce duetted (sp?) on one of Skip's songs for the Disney video Hunchback of Notre Dame sequel.  (Not necessarily a verified fact but very likely true:  Haley Joel Osment and Tom Hulce were not there at the same time when they recorded their parts of that duet.)

On tv tonight, not much (i don't think) but SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE RESULTS.

Last night, to me CANADIAN IDOL was a disaster. I have no idea why (i'm guessing because they want the show to finish at the end of the summer) but they went from 16 to 10.

It was a nightmare. IMO, one of the best people got sent home. He wasn't my favorite. But if you would have asked me before the show, i would have said he was 100% safe.

There were 2 brothers who were fantastic. But they were on the same night (tuesday). And only 5 were safe, and 3 went from that day.

So of course for drama they leave them to the end with only one brother able to be saved. I'm sure the judges were fuming, I know i was.

There are only 2 girls in the top 10 which is really crazy. But i love them both. And there is one other guy who i love.

One really crazy thing is there is a contestant from newfoundland, who is making it only because that whole province is idol crazy. And they vote for him only. He is the worst by far. And it made me ill that he made it when the brother had to go home!

singdaw - Thanks for asking, and I checked about the Summer Shorts 2 tickets.   When they're on sale, it'll be at ticketcentral.com - but it looks like Series A (which starts July 31) is on sale already, but Series B (which starts August 6) is not on sale yet.

Good morning, all! I must get to the post office this morning, and that is my only major priority. Then, back to the BABES critical notes for the Appendix.

Yesterday, we finished up all of Volume One of the orchestra score, caught a couple of errors, and it's time to make a final proff of the entire Volume and clean up all of the notes on the editorial work. I think we'll begin that next Monday or so. Thanks to Skip Kennon, Tom Murray, Peter Foley, Curtis Moore, and especially Chris Deschene for the new formats, the score is absolutely beautiful to behold on paper, and I couldn't be luckier to work with such artits.

I guess it's time to make the bed and get to the post office.

TOD: I feel completely unqualified to answer this one. I do look forward to DR MBarnum's choices from what he watches, although I believe Direct To DVD won't count much in the scheme of the cosmos.

Thursday morning greetings!  We got up a little early today so that Richard can get some painting done on our front porch rail before it gets too hot outside.  Later this afternoon I have a follow-up appointment with the doctor treating the blood clot issue.  Isn't our life exciting?

As for the Chrysler Building...  It was mentioned on the news this morning that even though the building proper is now under "foreign control", controlling interest is still held stateside.  The land on which the building sits  is still owned by Cooper Union.

And, yes, it looks like it's going to be quite a nice day here in NYC.  The current temp "in Central Park" is just 72 degrees, and today's high is only supposed to be in the mid-80s.  And the humidity has also dropped along with the temps.  Nice!
