...on the other hand, I have seen quite a few Homi Wadia films.

And I'm proud of you for having the courage to admit it!

DS Gabe saw a shark whilst snorkeling yesterday.  Somehow this was not comforting, anecdotally speaking.  ;)

Does Gabe have "I Am a Vegitarian" prominently displayed on his wet suit?

A long lasting lunch (where folks were discussing some family troubles) and some telephone calls made me able to watch far fewe things this afternoon than I had planned.

Where do you find lightning deals?  I know the Gold Box - is it that?

No...when you open the Gold Box, that deal is on the left of the screen.  The lightning deals are to the right...and one is announced at 6 a.m, one at 10 a.m., one at 2 p.m., one at 6 p.m.

DR BK:  I saw you found it.

DR George:  I leave the above in place, though stricken through, just in case you find the time to look.

Well, I don't have time to look for these "lightning deal," my sister and niece are on a schedule and I'm part of it.  I need to go over there to help move their treadmill out of the way so that they can blow up a blow-uppable bed...an inflatable bed.  I haven't even taken a shower yet (I took today and tomorrow off from work) but I need to leave NOW and move a treadmill.  Then, I'll come back home and take a shower.

Are your relatives munitions experts, DR George?????   Would it not be easier just to stick a pin in the mattress to let the air out?  Must it be blown up?

Well, for those who have not seen E.T. or CITIZEN KANE, it has to be because you have no interest in them. They've certainly been available for rent or purchase for a long time.

At least you know they're there if you DO get curious.

I spent most of the afternoon I had available with COLLEGE ROAD TRIP. Yes, it's a typical Disney family comedy with a slapstick wedding disrupted (a chocolate fountain spewed all over the father of the bride, etc.), everyone making faces at the camera and shouting their lines, and always, always the heart-to-heart sentimental ending followed by a last BIG slapstick moment.

I might have laughed twice during its 83 minutes.

I've bought a number of them in hopes of one day being able to watch them.

In today's mail was a letter from the cable company informing us that our basic television cable (which was part of a bundle with the internet cable) will be increased to $25 per month (up from $10). I think I have an errand to run.

Then I watched all of the bonus features: a video diary by co-star Raven, deleted scenes, alternate opening and endings, the gag reel, music video and the making of the music video.

There are two audio commentaries available which I'll get to this evening.

I buy a fair number of DVDs "blind" though there is always some reason for buying them: either I love the stars, the director, the genre (musical or mystery), or know the film's reputation and need to see it and have it for the collection.

Finding the time to watch these movies poses a different kind of problem.

BTW, I checked about MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST. The cable guide said tonight's was a new episode, but the description was of last week's episode. So, I don't know what's going on there.

I have two chocolate fudge, extra-dense and humongous brownies packed with walnuts.

I'm doing everything I can to keep them out of sight.  I want one for tonight's dessert and one tomorrow night.

During the luncheon walk, the air was brisk and refreshing.  A vastly differnt breeze from those of the past couple of days.

I'm looking forward to "normal" Bay Area weather.

We just had another summer thunderstorm, but it didn't last nearly as long as the ones we've had the past two days. The sun is already back out now.
