DR JRand - I'm glad to hear that your problem actor got his head of Uranus.  Well, his... Um... You know what I mean.  Let's all hope that he/it stays that way for the rest of the run.

Thank you, DR HO-SAY......if I was mean, I would have included that theme song in the pre-show music.

Maybe I should use it as exit music......

If ALL MY CHILDREN married MY THREE SONS, you'd have ALL MY SONS

Sounds like your audience-at-large deserves the Fred MacMurray version, DR JRand57!   ;D

So relieved to read that you got through last night.

***BREAK-A-LEG VIBES*** to you and your cast and crew for the rest of the run!!

As for the Friday Media Check...

Hmm...  I haven't been listening to all that much music this past week - except for the classical music I happen to catch on WQXR.

I finished listening to the audiobook version of "The Soloist", and I have started listening to "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Diaz - which won the Pulitzer Prize this past year.  It's a very interesting listen, however, I'm thinking it would be better as an actual "read".  *And there are a few passages in the "The Soloist" that I would like to go back to and read again too.

If everyone showed up at rehearsal not knowing his or her lines, what good would rehearsal be?

LOL....

Continuing a discussion from yesterday.....what I really LIKED about the movie THE FLY (Original AND DR CP's script) is that the GIRL in the story was not just decoration or a mouthpiece....the reactions of Patricia Owen and Geena Davis were OUTSTANDING and made the movies for me!  Of course the fact that they were both gorgeous redheads didn't hurt!

No DVD pklans for the weekend as I watch one last night. It was a film called The Man From Earth and it was the last screenplay by Sci Fi writer Jerome Bixby (He of Star Trek [OS] and the original Twilight Zone)

It is about John Oldman a university professor who claims to be 14,000 years old. He is moving on as he does every ten years when people start to realize he doesn't age.

Basically a one set, eight character film with some "philosophical meditation" about life and religion. With an interesting plot turn and an interesting reveal (not really a twist). It is a lot of talk talk talk.

A cerebal science fiction film without special effects, bombastic music scores and not one CGI shot in the entire film.

I do recommend it. I had never heard of the film and the plot description intrigued me. I rented it from NETFLIX.

Oh, my, that's the excellent David Lee Smith who plays the recurring character of Stetler, a bulldog IA rep on CSI: MIAMI.

Good morning!

It was drizzling when I got up this morning, but the clouds are clearing away, and it will likely wind up a very hot, muggy day today. Ugh!

I'm glad things went as well as they could for ALL MY SONS, DR JRand, but I'd be PETRIFIED about tonight's show. Typically, someone who pulls a reasonably decent performance out of nowhere one night tends to get cocky and might very well come in tonight overconfident and blow everything. Be on guard!

Tonight on TV on CBS is the debut of a Canadian police procedural FIREPOINT (is that the name? It doesn't look right) which has not gotten great reviews. It does star a favorite actor Enrico Colantoni (who played Veronica's dad on VERONICA MARS), but I doubt I'll bother to record it. With PSYCH starting up next week in that time slot, I know what I'll be watching, and I don't need to start filling up my viewing queue when I have so much stuff waiting to be reviewed.

I think katee and joshua are my favorite couple:
