LOL!  That's just the printers, DR Laura.

I spent most of the afternoon watching TRANSFORMERS episodes. I got through 7 of them. (45 more to go.) I'm sure they're all going to be the same formulaic challenge-transform-fight scenario. The animation was done in Japan, and it's big and colorful and pretty impressive for small TV animation budgets.

I did stop long enough to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No Luke today (he was on yesterday with his mom; not sure if I even mentioned watching it). I had read that Luke and Noah were to be on tomorrow, but they weren't in the previews.

Just got sent a lovely Primrose review, plus at the end of it there's a link to an interview I did for the guy.  Check it out:

Great review...and about the linked interview, I love what he calls you:  "label bigwig Bruce Kimmel." ;D

I plan to watch BURN NOTICE "live" tonight and record the other 10 p.m. shows. And I'll probably tire of TRANSFORMERS at some point and put in the penultimate BURN NOTICE episode from season one.

For anyone who'd like to preorder the new book but is having trouble, the other simple way to do it is to go to kritzerland.com and order Murder At Hollywood High - I'll know it's for the new book, so no worries there.  It's the same price so everything works exactly the same.

I just ordered the new book.  Can't wait!

Jane?

Good guess, DR Laura, but I suspect you know I meant MOI!  What's significant about it is that I haven't driven since June 10.  And our driveway, while not as long as Jane's, is very steep.  I was worn out by the time I got to the top.

I emptied the garage so that my sister can pull in to pick me up in about an hour.  She and her husband and my mom and I are going to the senior center up the street for dinner.  Then they're going to take me to a friend's house for book group.  Someone will give me a ride home, I'm sure!

re: BIG BROTHER 10

She is annoying, yes.  Very annoying, and then some.

But in her defense, she was absolutely correct in calling Jessie a liar in Jerry's room after he said he wouldn't accept an apology that was two days too late.  She did apologize to him -- twice -- the night of the incident.  He was wearing that hooded jacket.  CBS showed the footage during that evening's broadcast after Jessie claimed she never apologized.

To me, he's the immature "boy" she claims he is.  In his defense, it does no good to go on and on about it the way she's done.  She's turning into a harpy.  He's young and has little to no use for anyone over 30.

Jessie was "wrong" about the apology and tried to mount a horse way too high for him.  But they both need to get over it and move along.

It's funny but i totally disagree with you on this.  And i don't even really like jessie at all. So i'm not saying this because i like him.

You are right that renny did apologize on the night in question. However i don't think jessie was intentionally lying. I really don't think he thought she apologized. Since she didn't really act like she was sorry (she did say the words) he probably didn't even remember she said it.

So you're saying you think he knew she apologized but intentionally tried to make her look bad?

I thought on the night in question that renny was shrieking like a loon. And it was obvious she thought she had done nothing wrong. It's funny but when i originally saw her pic before the show aired i thought she was so beautiful and that she would be so lovely! :)

To me i don't get why renny called him immature. He told her what she did that was wrong. I didn't feel he made a big deal out of it. It was only because that was the basis for jerry's noms, that the incident kept getting revisited.

Btw, i am surprised so many here seem to like those huge muscles. As i said i really find it unappealing.

I got five discs from Paramount today all stuffed in a canvas tote proclaiming "Welcome to the 80s." Inside were five DVD reissues of famous 80s films: FERRIS BEULER, PRETTY IN PINK, FOOTLOOSE, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, and TOP GUN. They come out August 5th along with a bunch of other Paramount 80s hits (FRIDAY THE 13th, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, etc.)

I've seen four of the five; never got around to SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, but I guess I'll see it in the upcoming weeks.

Yes, It was the first night there and Renny was making a big noise while he was trying to sleep.  I was under the impression that he'd just gotten into bed, but it doesn't matter.  He got out of bed and told her she had awakened him.  She said, "Oh, I'm sorry.  Really, I'm sorry."  It sounded to me like she meant it.  That he either didn't accept it at that time, or was too wrapped up in his pity party to hear her, isn't much of an issue with me. HE is the reason this minor -- and never repeated -- incident got blown out of proportion.  He's a petulant little thing.

He went behind her back and dissed her to everyone in the house.  When she was nominated and Jerry said it was because they had some major disagreement, she was floored.  She didn't know what Jerry was talking about.  To her, it was over and done with, but Jessie had already blown it way out of proportion.

Did Jessie deliberately lie?  He may not "want" to remember that she apologized that very night, but the fact is that she did and she had no reason to believe -- and certainly no indication from him -- that anything was still hanging in the air.  Jessie just doesn't like her and he trashed her.  He may have gotten so caught up in his vindictiveness that her apology became non-existent in his mind.

I feel sorry for her.  She's annoying, but she's innocent of being insincere and she hasn't lied to anyone.

Guess who just backed her own car down the driveway, parked it on the street, and then walked back up the driveway?

I hope I never have to back down my entire driveway.  I've had to go half way & that was tiresome enough.  Backing up bothers my back because I don't trust my vision enough to use the side mirrors.

TOD: MY DS says it was a Packard-Bell. I fought having a computer for a long time, as I felt they were the work of satan.

I wasn't given a chance to "fight" getting a computer.  Keith simply came home with one in 1980 and  insisted I use the darn thing.  I remember it as money we didn't have wasted on a useless toy, Keith remembers it with great fondness. ;D

It was a Radio Shack III, state of the art computer.  The storage devise was a cassette tape.

Forgive me, in advance:

This reminds me of an SNL moment many years ago.  When the show "The Waltons" was airing, actress Ellen Corby, who played Grandma Walton, had a stroke.  Her return to the show was heralded in all the TV press who indicated that she was "nearly" recovered but would continue in the role anyway.

SNL started one Saturday's show by proclaiming:  "On tonight's Episode of 'The Waltons' -- Grandma Walton ties her shoelaces."

I also found a scorpion crawling around my living room at 5 am.  A scorpion!   Now, really!  Not what i wanted to encounter.  I don't even live in the wilds of the desert, so God only knows why it was there.  Suffice it to say i did not sleep much after that.

Kerry, you know what they say: "When life gives you scorpions, make Scorpion Pops!"

Back from a lovelier than lovely visit with Mr. Richard Matheson.  What a very nice man, very humble, and still as sharp as a tack, even though he's been slowed down physically.  We talked of everything - films made from his books, who did them, and then he told me that they are working on a musical version of Somewhere In Time for B'way.  I asked him who the composer was and the only thing he thought he remembered was it was the guy who wrote the music for Little Women - who WAS that?

bk, the actor that Greg worked with yesterday was Patrick Richwood. He said he and his mom (Pat?) both know you.

When Greg mentioned your name, Patrick said "Bruce Kimmel, the writer?"
