The name doesn't sound familiar - maybe if I saw a photograph...

The name doesn't sound familiar - maybe if I saw a photograph...

Here's Mr. Patrick Richwood. Greg said he played the elevator operator in PRETTY WOMAN but I don't remember anything about that movie except not liking it very much.

Born and raised in Burbank, Patrick Richwood first appeared on the Colony Stage in Clutter, The True Story of the Collyer Brothers Who Never Threw Anything Out.
At 18, he was the youngest Pirate in the NY Shakespeare Festival's The Pirates of Penzance (Ahmanson Theatre, 1st National Tour, The White House). His theatre work here and in New York includes playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors (Heritage Arts Orpheum Theater), Goat in The Robber Bridegroom (Equity Library Theater), Mr. Church in What's a Nice Country Like You Doing in a State Like This? (American Place Theater), Treplev in The Seagull (A Noise Within), Leviticus in The Legend (Mark Taper Annex), Deputy in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (California Music Theater), Renfield in Dracula (Hermosa Beach Playhouse), Harlequin in Triumph of Love (Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera), and Ellard in The Foreigner (Olney Theatre, Maryland) for which he received the Helen Hayes Award.

Film work includes Beaches, Pretty Woman, Streets, Dear God, Little Sister, The Dark Side of Genius, Armageddon, The Other Sister, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries, and The Race to Space. Television credits include Nothing in Common (Series Regular-NBC), Adventures in Wonderland (Series Regular --- Disney Channel), Boomtown (Series Regular-NBC), dozens of guest-starring roles and countless wacky commercials.

I just got the weirdest phone call. Apparently, our Johnny Mercer documentary is now going to be Executive Produced by Clint Eastwood. So now I'm sure I've ended my association with it. I am thrilled, however, and now it will definitely be finished---no fund raising necessary. (Half will come from Mr. Eastwood & half from the Mercer foundation.)

He and his producer/director are just finishing up a doc on my hero, Dave Brubeck. I can't wait to see that!

I believe Patrick Richwood had also played Smee to Howard McGillin's Captain Hook in PETER PAN.

I had a nice pastrami sandwich for lunch - no fries, no nothing else.  Not sure if I'll eat anything else tonight - doubtful.  I may take another nice, long walk.  I've been enjoying doing so.

Well, after I had posted this morning, the resort's internet system went down again. Ah, well.  In the meantime...

I was picked up a little after 10:00, and after a brief stop at Starbucks for some much caffeine, we headed to Cape Canavarel to board the ship.  We had lunch, and then I had rehearsals with some of the performers who will be singing for tomorrow's master-class/workshop.  Some great talent, and a great variety of music.  A few of the performers are Canucks, and they brought in some music from some Canadian musicals, which, of course, now I shall have to get my hands on.  First The Drowsy Chaperone, and now... ;)

-And speaking of food...

Disney has recently began to offer more healthy alternatives in their various food service operations system-wide.  I noticed a lot more "roasted" and "baked" items on the various menus in the Parks yesterday, and the lunch today featured some pretty tasted roasted chicken and baked fish dishes.  Of course, once you hit the dessert table, well... ;)

-And speaking of food... Again...

Tonight, we were treated to dinner in Palo, Disney's fine-dining Italian restaurant.  I still have very fond memories of my dinner there on my last Disney cruise, and tonight's dinner did not disappoint either.  I started off with a Seafood Soup that had bits of scallops, shrimp and mussels in a perfectly seasoned tomato-based brother.  Then for my entree, I opted for the seared scallops served with borlotti beans and roasted tomatoes. And, for dessert, their Pineapple and Almond "Ravioli".  It's basically thin slices of pineapple, draped over a mound of almond mousse.  Then the whole affair is dusted with sugar, and caramelized.  YUM!

*And the dessert chef came up with a new gelato flavor combination: chocolate, espresso and caramel all in one.  Again, YUM!

**And the pinot noir that our host so kindly bought for the table... YUM!  :P

Well, I'm gonna go ahead, and see how much ketching up on the posts I can do offline since I need to save my internet minutes as much as I can.

They have a new "theme/dance party" a little later tonight, and there is one group dance section that features the Disney Theatre Performers, and I believe I shall check that out before heading to bed.

*And best of all, tomorrow's workshop is only from 10:00am-1:00pm.  And then I'm "off" for the rest of the cruise.  YEAH!

*OH!!!

And I was informed this afternoon, that Disney will be holding another one of these workshops in the fall for the cast of the other ship, The Disney Wonder.  Alas(?), the Wonder does the 7-day cruises.  :)

So, my Friday and Saturday nights in NY are covered, somewhere to stay-wise - anyone got any bright ideas for Thursday?  I really don't want the boys to have to pay some huge hotel bill for one night.  Can someone please check around?  I've been asking for a week now and not one person has responded on this board.

Or can someone who really knows how to do so see if there are any reasonable hotels for one night.  Must have Internet.
