WHY do they cast non-singers in musicals? I will never understand that. Nor will I understand why someone who cannot sing will sing in a musical.

It is mind boggling!

Probably 75 or so.   They werenever intentended for a walker or wheelchair.  Luckily the other 125 paintings and drawings on the other walls are not in danger.  But I'm not crazy or anything! ;D

I'm sure they want to have enough of the "good stuff" on hand.  Otherwise, a larger group might have to make do with pet food on Ritz Crackers.

I, too, am psyched about a new season of "Psych" starting tonight.  The old DVR is gonna be busy with that and "Stargate Atlantis".

That could be fun, but they'd all have to be dead, wouldn't they?

Noooooooo! We never got to interview her about Johnny Mercer. Damn! I had always wanted to meet her (I love her Jonathan and Darlene albums). Her son told us she wasn't up to being interviewed when we were in LA last time, but he would be in touch if she did feel better. Oh, that's sad...

I very sorry and was looking forward to your interview.

She is one of my all time favorite singers.

Diane Keaton is/was a very good singer. She sings in ANNIE HALL and RADIO DAYS, very well in both. Of course, she did stage musicals (HAIR) early in her career, so I know she can sing.

Yes, I think it might have been wise to either rethink the cast of the MAMMA MIA men (none is exactly a box-office draw, so they could have used stage actors who could sing like Tom Wopat, Brent Barrett, Marc Kudisch), or hire dubbers if they were set of three men to be the actors who were cast.

He blew my leaves without me even asking.  That's all I'll say.  The National Alliance of Mental Illnesses T-shirt I wore with bright turquoise boxers with a large vegetable print on them the last time I asked may have had something to do with it.

Feel like a cigarette?

I began my afternoon watching last night's MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST. Not one of Kathy's funniest efforts, but it was an interesting show. Seeing the pathetic room that passed for a library was really, really sad. Other countries are SO much less well off than we are.

Next week's show looks really fun.

What was the last film, I wonder, in which a singing voice was dubbed?

The last I can recall is "First Wives Club" when it seemed obvious that Goldie Hawn was dubbed.  And I have my suspicions about Diane Keaton's voice, as well.

Keaton was in the original Broadway cast of HAIR, ya know?

I skimmed through last night's SWINGTOWN just to see if there was any male-male action with Grant Show and the bisexual who entered the picture last week. Nada. Maybe I misread the original press report (or CBS got skittish and cut the male-male storyline.)

That was very...considerate of him.  They so seldom attend to such details post-blow-itis.

Usually it's just bills on the nightstand. Whatever can the unions be thinking?
