If BK confirms each order here on HHW, one-by-one, he'll achieve his milestone in no time  8)

Nothing, so far, in the news regarding Jo Stafford, yet I keep reading “Barenaked Ladies cancel Disney show after drug rap”  Before today I had never heard of Barenaked Ladies & I find it difficult to imagine Disney hired a group with such a scandalous name. :o ;D

I love the Barenaked Ladies.  I knew "If I Had A Million Dollars" and a few other songs before I bought a ticket to their concert here on a whim.  I adored them. They are fun, silly and I was addicted to their music for a long time. They use a lot of satire and are really great.

Thanks Vixmom, Singdaw, Ginny and anyone I may have forgotten for the compliments on my house.  I got a great compliment today from a neighbor. He is a historic preservationist and works on restoring buildings etc.  He and his wife were walking their corgi and stopped to tell me that they love watching all the changes I've been making to my house and that they are so glad I'm in the neighborhood.

Coming from someone who is in the business and who went through my house when it was on the market and therefore knows how much work it needed - and still needs, it's a real compliment.  When I get done with everything I'll have to invite them over to see it

Pierce Brosnan canNOT sing - couldn't they have found a middle-aged hunk who can?

Scott Bakula is a year younger and Antonio Banderes 7 - both can sing.

I went to Mama Mia today and was really disappointed.  I loved the stage show.  I don't really agree that it was cast so well, I think they all needed to be a bit younger.  If the daughter is 20 and the mother is closing in on 60 that means the mother was in a girl band and sleeping around when she was closing in on 40.  Now, I'm sure that happens, but it just didn't seem believable to me.

Pierce Brosnan's singing didn't bother me as much as the age problem.

They also changed the order of the songs, as Ginny mentioned, I didn't think that worked as well. And it seemed to drag in the middle. I found myself thinking. "this is really stupid, what am I doing here"

I just checked. Carolee Carmello is 13 years younger than Meryl Streep.  It makes more sense that Carolee would be Donna than Meryl.

Just my 2 cents

BIG BROTHER 10

LIVE FEED DISCUSSIONS.

Not until you posted this!

Wow!  I never expected THAT.  There's a lot I'm missing and will have to search for.  Dingo says Jessie is convinced the nominees are "his" idea, but doesn't tell "whose" idea they really were.

I believe that jessie wanted to nominate renny. There are a few groups. One is angie/dan/steven, and sometimes keesha/renny. The other group is libra/april/ollie/michelle and a couple more maybe. It is them who want steven out. They were thinking about nominating angie/dan and backdooring steven. But somehow they convinced jessie.  I find i get very accurate updates that are not long to read in the televisionwithoutpity live feed discussion thread. Dingo doesn't always post that much.

Well, when ozDerek was alive, he used to send me tons of jokes ranging from silly to outrageously rude. I could send you all dirty jokes.

Okay! ;)

Or copies of your VCR tapes 8)

I could make DVDs of them.  It certainly would save a lot of space. ;D

I have never bought this one meal a day and your metabolism slows down because it things you're starving business.  I may eat one nice-sized meal a day, but I'm not starving, and I do have things like no-fat low-cal fruit popsicles later in the evening.  And it's not like I didn't do this exact same regimen two years ago and I know exactly what I lost per week during that diet period.  This is extremely frustrating.  I'm going to keep running because I feel better for having jogged, but I'm not sure I can keep up this staying away from certain foods that I like if I'm not going to see results - that's just too annoying.  This last two weeks has been a total waste for me, diet-wise.  No, I didn't gain, but losing at the rate of a pound and a half every two weeks means I'll be on this diet for over a year before I'm where I want to be - it's never ever taken me more than three to four months to lose exactly what I wanted to lose and that includes two years ago.

Even if you haven' t lost actual pounds, do you at least feel better. And do your clothes feel better on you? It's not all about the actual weight.

And i totally agree with those who say i think eating a few small meals a day would help. I"m not the best at this (because i don't eat breakfast). But i try to eat fruit every morning. And then a small lunch. a snack. And then a small dinner.

The water can't be hurting you. And i'm sure the exercise is totally helping.

my niece does not want to go to bed. At least she is quietly playing in her bed. But it doesn't help when after 45 minutes she comes out and declares she needs to pee!

I decided not to put her to sleep by sleeping beside her (although i did for a few minutes). But she would not let me rub her hair (which puts her to sleep). so i left. She knows my tricks!

She was so funny tonight. She took out the valentine's card i gave her in feb and said "auntie you gave this to me". And she wanted to know when valentine's day was. i told her feb and now it's july. So she said in july is valentooms day! So we wished each other a happy day! :)

I think my favorite thing about The Closer is all the little subtle character things going on in the background that make me laugh and laugh...   :)

I know... and the way it is edited, they really grab every subtle little moment!

Vibes for DR GINNY and for DR KERRY!

For Ms. Stafford, I will play Darlene's version of "I'm Blase."

My favorite is "Paris in the Spring".

Maybe they decided to wait for Blu-Ray but if they'd put the damn thing out already I'd bet it would sell decently and that means moolah for me.

Blue-Ray for Hollywoooood! (a nod to Johnny Mercer...)

THE FACULTY has been running on air recently, as well as being featured on Comcast on Demand, so I hope that puts a little jingle in your jeans.

I guess I'll be on my way to La La's to sup with cousins Alan and Dee Dee.  The first time I ate there a couple of years ago the 1/2 roast chicken was terrific.  Last week, much less so.  So, tonight I may try the double chicken breast with garlic.  Still fairly non-caloric and hopefully better-tasting.

May I ask when the brainiacs of the current generation figured out that no one is now, according to them, spelled noone?  And this new way of saying "based off a movie" or based off a comic book" - honestly!

Why is candy so insidious?  It is EVERYWHERE in my workplace.  I think I want it, and I eat it, and then I feel terrible.

I've got to buckle down, Winsocki, and fortify my willpower!

We have huge candy jars in my editing room as well as a basket of snacks. I used to forage in them when I had to work late, but no more. We keep the jars in the corner on the floor out of sight. Thankfully, there's no dark chocolate, which is my weakness.

It turned out that the Mr. Moldave who is listed as writer/producer/creator of the original BULLSHIT series is the same one I knew. I only met him once, but I spent one of the longest evenings of my life with him in a marathon tour of his favorite places in LA (some of which are now gone, I'm sure...)
