Michael Symon takes over as the chef on the season preview of Dinner: Impossible tonight. This is after Robert Irvine got discredited, for claiming a resume that was largely fictional.

We're going from an intense Brit to a giggly Clevelander. Such is life.

Looking back at it, my sister and I both agree that we let people move to fast emptying out our mom's house. I would have loved to have had all of her recipes, but they had gone to the estate sale before I even thought about it.

One of the best chocolate cakes I ever had was in England at a little converted monastery, or something like that. I asked for the recipe and found it was a frozen cake they had delivered.

The cake was baked by the hostess.

DR TCB, I'm sorry you didn't have the time to go through your mother's belongings properly. It is an exhausting task and I'm sure you and your sister were in shock.

We were very grateful to the people who stepped up and offered to clear out the house for us after we had taken the things we wanted; but we should have waited another week or two.

Even with all the time I had I think I left behind a few things I shouldn't have. Some of them might have been left at my brother's.

The upsetting part was all we couldn't find that my sister moved out and we never saw again. Her daughter didn't find them either, or missed the items as she cleaned out her mother's home three months later.

I'm back from a wonderful dinner with my friend, Harry, and his partner, William. It was a nice catch up session, and the spaghetti and meat sauce that Harry prepared was quite tasty too! I also had to deliver a couple of Disney Trading Pins that Stitch had given to me to pass on to Harry.

I'm going to make another attempt to stay off the computer all week. I need to clean out cupboard & shelves & get some paperwork done. I'm very bad, once I begin playing with the computer I don't get much work done.

I've heard of "Dr. Who" - and used to watch him/it quite regularly when I was younger, but lost interest in it/him over the years.

As for "Rintin" -

Thus, I cannot answer your last question.

Now...

Are you saying that "Dr. Who" gets better ratings here in the U.S. than "American Idol" does? Even without checking numbers, I seriously doubt that. -Or is that audience share you mentioned what the show garners in the UK?

I fortunately have one perfume I'm not allergic to, and it helps to counter other smells. I spray it on my wrist & then hold my wrist up to my face. I may look silly but it works.

Well i can't/don't ever wear any perfume. But i have a similar problem with hand lotions. And today i was doing exactly what you did. There are a few smells that agree with me (vanilla, banana...) so i had put some on my hand and held that up to my face!

Oh and i obviously have extremely bad luck. Because the family member who reaked yesterday still reaked today. Luckily they were nice enough to wash off thoroughly (although only after i couldn't eat or be in the same room with anybody else).

But the really bad luck is that i must be extremely sensitive right now to smells. And my whole family went out to celebrate my uncle's birthday. Well my aunt has a friend who is always late. And when she finally showed up she sat down beside me, and guess what? She had on a perfume and my eyes started watering an my throat was feeling slightly swollen.

I didn't really know what to do. I mean i know this lady. But i didn't want to be rude or make her feel bad. I told my sister and she asked her husband to switch seats with me (and sort of made it seem like my niece wanted to sit with her daddy). Oh well. I knew if i stayed in that seat i would be miserable.

So at least i was able to do it low key!

I felt so bad. My niece fell asleep at the restaurant. And when she got home she was so upset that she had left that she started crying hysterically.

DR Jennifer, I know how embarrassing it can be. It is difficult to be polite when your head begins pounding & your throat tightens up. My throat is ok, unless I have a reaction to food, but sometimes I wheeze. My head bothers me the most & can make me very irritable. Sometimes my motion sickness also puts me in embarrassing situations.

We are having a very bad allergy season here, if you are also it can be making you more sensitive. I'm glad you were able to maneuver this situation a bit better.

Oh and i was off my diet today. And boy the food at the restaurant was so good.

We had tortilla chips and spinach/cheese dip. And the rolls with butter were so good. ANd i had bbq babyback ribs and coleslaw and french fries. And a few bites of chocolate brownies with ice cream and choc/caramel sauce. So delicious!

Of course whenever i eat at this restaurant i can never even eat a quarter of my plate. So i guess i will be off my diet for tomorrow's lunch too!

Next Design Star was really fun. Jen came to redo a room for her sister in Sioux City!! The guy I met in Panera, Bill, was her carpenter. It was really a fun episode. I won't tell what happened

I don't usually have this problem. It just felt like bad luck since i was so sick yesterday.

The weird thing is i've been at many dinners with my aunt's friend. I guess i just never sat beside her before!

Maybe i should have said something to her. I just didn't want to make her feel bad.

The funny part was my brother-in=law wanted me to explain to her why we were switching seats. But i thought that would defeat the purpose.

Well i didn't get sit next my niece while eating. But at least i did not die at the table!

I thought my allergic reaction had improved. I never used to even be able to walk thru a department store's perfume section. But now i can do that!

I think maybe it was just that my eyes were still burning a bit from yesterday. So they were overly sensitive.

I told my sis, i actually don't think this woman's perfume was that strong. Not like my family members was.
