What ever happened to that Austrian guy who used to post on this site?

What was the name, now....I can't quite remember it.....something unusual, though.....

Easy for you to say! Do you know how tough it is to catch a mosquito and then have it hold still for the icing and spraying?

Yeah, yeah, that's the one!  The guy that kept hoping that they would remake CHARLIE'S ANGELS with Bernadette Peters, Bette Midler, and Patti LuPone.

Was he the guy who just gushed over "Steel Magnolias", the movie?

Keith came in from the yard with three ticks.  I squished one and flushed it.  I bet he did the same with the other two. :P

Does anyone have this CD?

It seems like a pretty good overall Broadway collection, with a few exceptions (Liza's CABARET and Judy Collins' SEND IN THE CLOWNS).  But then, at almost the end of the second disc, it throws in I DREAMED THE DREAM by Aretha Franklin????

HUMAN POWERED GYM

Have you ever pedaled on a stationary bike at the gym and thought to yourself: ‘What if this energy I am exerting could be used for something better than just making me sweat?” Well now a new proposal from architect Mitchell Joachim promises to take all that energy expended at the gym to the next level, by capturing all that exertion and using it to transport people around the rivers of New York City. The River Gym concept is a human-powered floating gym that will provide the user with the one experience that no other gym can provide: floating your workout around Manhattan. Designed by architect Mitchell Joachim and personal trainer Douglas Joachim, this project could bring inspiration to both the morning commute and workout.

I like the river gym.  When we used the treadmill on the cruise it was way cool. ;D

It felt as if we were moving with the ship & the scenery changed as I moved.  I actually looked forward to using the treadmill.  The best time was when the ship left port.

I've just received (in the mail) a Cd of Lehar's "Land of Smiles". Mr Hadley was such a loss to this world.

The CD came from France.  (which is a country not far from Austria and Hungary - birthplace of Mr Lehar).

I wonder if anyone has considered a TV show with Patti, Bernadette and Bette.

A remake of the Golden Girls perhaps.  That once upon a time DR/Actor from Tacoma WA could play the Estelle G role.

IF the current Lupone Gypsy revival recording ever gets released, [whoops, I've lost DR Tomovoz!] there is a rumor that a two-disc version will be available from Barnes & Noble with extra bits of recorded dialogue.

Thanks for the (possible) info!! :D I loves me some Patti!

Well...  Here's a bit of humor (I think), and some off-key singing (I don't think), that some friends of mine put together.

*It's interesting how "Obama" doesn't quite scan properly.  ;)

If Gays Could Get Married

It's better than what I could've ever come up with.  I loved it!

I saw "Land des Lachelns" many years ago at Ohio Light Opera. the score's good, the book stinks.

My tummy is definitely shrinking - I ate at Koo Koo Roo and had one chicken breast and wing and some cole slaw and I'm still full.  That wouldn't have even been an appetizer three weeks ago.
