Today will be the first day this week that I don't have plans to leave the house for something, either lunch or dinner out or meeting friends for drinks. I'm going to enjoy getting to stay in comfortable clothes all day long and stay inside.

Elmore - there's more vile than violin in my past

Today I'll finish the episode of FEAR ITSELF that I started last night. It has a kind of STEPFORD WIVES sort of vibe to it that is kind of creepy, so I'll be interested to see where it goes.

I had the DVR record off the Universal HD channel the HD showing of PATRIOT GAMES. It's coming oout on Blu-ray this week (along with the other Jack Ryan films), and I wanted to see how much better it looked in HD before plunking down any money for it. PATRIOT GAMES is my favorite of the four films, so I'll look at some of it today to see how it comes off.

Nothing on TV for me to recommend tonight. Others may have some selections.

Today is DS Gabe's 12th birthday party (tomorrow is his actual natal day).  Then I'm off to final tech and dress for the Revue from Hell.  :)

Saturday morning greetings!  This weekend is our local Greek festival, so, of course, it's hot and humid.  We'll go there for dinner this evening.

Love, love, love the photos from last night's gathering.  The food looks exquisite and I, too, would like to have the deviled egg recipe.  Looking forward to seeing our NYC friends in about a month!

Thanks to all for the gossip and the photos of another opening night production by Fred and Skip.  It was great to see Vixmom (Wow!), the Vixter (so grown up), BK, Fred, Jose, Julie, the spread, and Jayson's spouse.  What a shame that elmore could not attend.

Oh, and if Jose is going to post any more photos, I cast my vote for more photos of the Disney Cruise cow-pokes.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I've already been to the grocery store.  And while I was at the grocery store, I noticed a "family pack" of boneless, skinless chicken breasts that was priced lower(!) than the bone-in family packs.  -Hmm... that almost sounds unseemly.  In any case...  I had originally been thinking about buying some ground turkey - which was also on sale - but after realizing the package of chicken breasts I had found were the last one on the shelf, well...  I'll be prepping and chopping and freezing them later today.

Exciting, huh?

:-\

Cilla, I was going to tell you to look at today's Non Sequitur comic strip, but when I searched online it seems that the Oregonian has run one that is not being done nationally, which is truly weird.  I'll try to scan it and post it later--some cogent commentary on being an attorney and food choices.  :)

Well, neither can some of my "comments" from last night too.

I could just send you a few links if that would be easier.

I can't remember...did DR elmore3003 mention reading this book?

Anyway, it was profiled on Theatre Talk last night.  The author was on, along with critic John Simon and Elaine Stritch.
