I goofed it was James Webber, not David Church, we sat next to.  I just happened to find a picture of the two and it was definitely James.  Sorry, my bad!

You ALL make the earth move for me!

Is that before or after we all went "straight"?   ;)

re: last night's BIG BROTHER show

What did you guys think of the veto comp?

I actually liked it and thought it was original. Even if it did sort of backfire. :)

ASK BK DAY

What is doing with the movie that you worked on 4(?) ago...The Dangerous Love of Johnny X?

Who knows.  Every eight months or so the director sends the cast an e-mail saying he's definitely resuming shooting and finishing the film, then nothing happens.  He simply went into it without all the money, and you never ever do that on a film.

And how did nothing feel about being felt?

That response was not recorded.  8)

My question for ASK BK day - what is the biggest or most exciting Thrift Shopping bargain you have ever found?

I've heard so many tales of finding great things in thrift shops, and way back in the late 70s and all through the 80s I made regular runs to several to find all those goodies - and in all that time I never found one exciting thing or bargain.

Hello, Elan-daddy!  Hope your family is well and that you are enjoying all the facets of fatherhood!  :)

Hey, Ron! Thanks for the good wishes!

Fatherhood, currently, has only three facets: sheer joy, sheer panic, and sheer exhaustion... Of course, it gets easier as they get older, right?

Good morning fellow Dear Readers. I had my 1.5 hour hike and then did some yard work. (Don't tell my DH that I hauled his precious junk out to the alley.) It is getting warm outside.

I am so sorry that MR BK hasn't found any treasures.  I would think LA would be a goldmine....but then I am sure we all have our own definition of treasures and trash.

Ten months? I don't think he'd notice it in five years.

Yep, although the older one is nearing his third birthday, so the appelation "baby" is getting less and less appropriate.

Right?

Yeah, right, DR Elan.  As they get older different things will bring you joy, different things will cause you to panic, and, at least until they start driving, you might eventually get to sleep through the night.

It gets easier, Elan. When they can talk and reason. Of course, then they can reason and argue and manipulate.

School-age is the easiest. Except for the homework.

But enjoy every phase of their development! They grow up fast!

1. Turn of the tv and go outside.
2. Don't feed them at McDonalds.
3. Never give in to a tantrum.

Question of the day to everyone:  Do you have any child-raising tips for Elan?

(There, that makes it official)

We saw a lot of previews Sunday when we saw MAMMA MIA! and there was one want to see:

READ THEN BURN - with Clooney, Pitt, McDormand from the Coen Brothers

The trailer was very well done.

Then we saw a traveling shot of the ocean waves and the music from CHARIOTS OF FIRE started playing and then a little white puppy started running along the beach...it was a sweet moment.  The movie is MARLEY AND ME, I think....but it has Jennifer Anniston so I probably will skip it.

There was a sports movie about the first black college football player to do something and overcome everything and be the best and get encouraged by his coach....about the guy who invented the intermittent windshield wiper which was stolen by Ford Motor Co...

I don't know.....maybe something will be good.....  I guess I can't say they aren't trying!  And sometimes I am surprised that I like a movie....

Oh and High School Musical 3 - is it really as horrible as this preview seems to make it out to be?

That's about right.  ;D  Unless it's something I use once a year....then I would notice by December.  8)

Well, the big little one is talking, talking, and talking some more (which for those who know me and The Lovely Wife[tm] comes as a huge shock, I assure you). And the little little one is more than capable of arguing and manipulating without being verbal.

Of course, I'm capable of getting back by posting cute photos online but I'd never do that, now, would I?

Okay, maybe I would...

Call off the DNA test... he's my kid, alright!
