Question of the day to everyone:  Do you have any child-raising tips for Elan?

(There, that makes it official)

Child rearing tip: two words - BOARDING SCHOOL!

RLP - I even gave a tiny little clew, which, thankfully no one picked up on.   The thing is, the stuff they're listing is no one's idea of a guilty pleasure.

This reading list might have been useful to BK or DR JulieC40 this past weekend.  Or anyone else on an airplane stranded at an airport.

If the Bed & Breakfast were on a mountain top, it could become a grand Yom Kippur epic:

And, speaking of cool, has anyone tried the new search engine CUIL, rival to Google and dreamed up by former Google employees?

Hello, everyone.

It is HOT here today. I'll grumble about the heat along with MattH.

BK: I think it's sad, but true, that most of the folks guessing probably have never seen the film or never knew there was an LP of its score.

What amazes me is that I've not seen the composer's name mentioned once in that thread (if, of course, JRand's guess was correct).

Big Brother.......

I love Keesha! I think Jessie needs to be voted off, so as to break up the Jessie/Michelle alliance. I don't think Angie is much of a threat to anyone's game. Memphis is the next one who needs to leave, he scared me last night when he got so mad at Jerry.

Well, fortunately, we were able to find a hotel for 2 nights through AAA.  They were a huge help!  We stayed at the Gem Hotel on Houston between E. 1st and 2nd.   Right next door was a Jewish bakery that had wonderful blueberry knish's - oh, Lord, we thought we had died and gone to heaven.  I did find a bakery here in Portland that people from the East coast say is not as good as NY but it comes to a close second.  I want to find that place!

4. Make it your policy (with your wife) that you never buy toys when you are out shopping with the children. Toys are only purchased when the children are along if they are a gift for another child. It really cuts down on the tantrums when they know you WILL NOT buy toys for them when they are along.

The above rule does not apply to Grandparents!

DR FJL - "We" ended up trading voicemails on Monday.  Hopefully, we shall talk in person tomorrow.  There was some sort of family emergency involved, but all is well now.  More alarm, than harm from what I understand.

I read that "Big Brother" honchos warned him that they would take away his Camaro (prize won in first week) if he went off like that again.  He was pretty threatening...that's a HUGE no-no and could have seen him instantly eliminated.

On the other hand, Jerry is no prize.  He certainly had no business calling anyone a womanizer given HIS OWN behavior on the show.  Sheesh..he's a dirty old man!

Regarding air travel, I expect to be uncomfortable. I take along snack foods and water, and soon will be taking a pillow, too, as neither of my recent flights offered pillows or blankets. IMHO, there's no excuse for the poor service, but...let's just say it's a career field to avoid.

No, Ron, I'm back home. I had no computer access in Florida. And it was Palm Coast, near Daytona.

DR JMK do you have any photos or reviews from your Mel's Diner Revue?

It's hard to take photos in pitch darkness.   ;D

Ah. TJ's recently came out with their own private label chocolate ice cream, which I think is very good indeed. It sells out quickly, so others must think so, too. They used to stock Double Rainbow's Ultra Chocolate, but that was too chocolately for me. (I can hear the protests already: "There is NO SUCH THING as TOO CHOCOLATELY" from DR Kerry. Am I right, Kerry?) I prefer a light chocolate and usually mix chocolate with vanilla. But TJ's new chocolate is pretty good.
