If JRand's excellent guess was correct about what the title is, then the guesses at FSM are highly amusing and kind of strange, IMO.

And if Jrand is correct, no one, last I looked, has even named the composer of the upcoming score in all the wild guesses that have been flying.

As for "The old folks sit for a spell," that's because I'm on my feet supervising. Only the really old folk sits.

At least the younger grandlad knows that there are interesting foods to be eaten at places other than McD's. The older grandlad thinks of that dastardly place as the epitome of culinary delights. Danged brat has no desire to aim any higher. Bleh.

Sometimes, there's nothing better. Of course, I only get the craving about once every six weeks!

I just found BABES IN TOYLAND photos from 1903! Here's the end of the opening Act One number. You can't see it, but the men in the chorus are wearing hats made of water sprinklers.

And here's Bessie Wynn in the Toymaker's Shop addressing the Master Toymaker after singing "Toyland." The men's chorus is dressed as toymakers and Margaret Sutherland, who lost "Toyland" to Bessie is sulking in her apprentic garb on the left.

And here's the Act One finale of the snow covering the poppy field. That's Dorothy (Anna Laughlin) kneeling in the center of the photo, Fred Stone as the Scarecrow and Bessie Wynn are on the right along with an unknown character, possibly Tryxie the waitress and Dorothy's cow Imogene. On the left are Pastoria, the rightful ruler of Oz, the Cowardly Lion, and David Montgomery as the Tin Man. And I think that broad at the back is Miss Albertina Benson again as the Snow Queen.

I, like elmore, do get McDonald's craving, although much less frequently now because of those two rancid filet o' fish sandwiches I had to toss. That sort of thing really does harm - certainly I will never ever have one of those sandwiches again, but every six months or so I like a Big Mac.

By the way, in our mail today we received the promo booklet for the 30th anniversary season of a certain local theater company. Remember when said company did material by Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams, and even Neil Simon? This is real dumbed-down "drama."
