See how the T Rex is holding that lady? She didn't just jump up into his arms you know!

That's no lady, that's his wife!

I still can't think of any 1980s movies that I like.

And looking at peoples lists I realize I saw a LOT of 1980s movies that I had forgotten about.

Maybe I liked that Pee Wee Herman movie. That one I would watch again.

Actually, I can think of lots of 1990s and 2000s movies that I like. Not so many 1970s movies, however....aside from some Bollywood ones.

OY!

I just realized/remembered that today is still Thursday... Not Friday.  I guess since my work week ended today, well I guess that mix-up is understandable.  I think.

I went to a looooooooooooong, booooooooooooooorrrrring two hour meeting on some new software that the state may or may not buy. It was a lot of techinical babble about stuff that doesn't have anything to do with what my division does.

My supervisor went with me.

I almost fell asleep.

I could see out of the corner of my eye that my supervisor was taking lots of notes. I was agog that she actually knew what in tarnation they were talking about and that it actually was of enough importance to take notes.

Then I looked over and saw that she was just making a shopping list.

DR Cillaliz - Glad to hear that your trial proceedings(?) went well.  Does this mean you can take it easy this weekend?

Oh yeah.  All I can do now on the case is sit and wait, so I'll putter around at the office tomorrow and try to see what has piled up while I was gone. But this weekend no working allowed!!!  I will be cleaning the house, maybe powerwashing the deck and that sort of thing, but no office work.   I may get out and do something, but I don't know what.  It's supposed to be unbearably hot here over the weekend, so we'll see.

During the boring meeting I decided that this is my all time favorite movie title, as far as Bollywood movies.

Grief can befall those you try to install their older XP applications on a new Vista machine. I hear tell that my older MS Office Professional would not work with Vista.

der Brucer

I will say that I have Vista only on the computers that came with Vista when I bought them for the office. I have not upgraded the computers I already had.  So, I didn't have any upgrade issues.  I had a couple printer issues initially, but there was a patch a few days after I got the computer that was automatically downloaded

Welcome back, DR Jane!

Did DD Sherlock like living "in the dark" for a couple of hours? ;)

;D  Since it is summer we weren't in the dark all that long before bedtime.  We sat on the deck for a long time,

(SHERLOCK JUST MADE THE FUNNIEST SOUND ;D ;D  Guess he was expressing his excitement it is dinner time)

made a few calls & just relaxed.  We then came inside and read for awhile.

JMK- I know nothing about Craig's List, so how and where did you list your 100 DVDs for sale?  I'm thinking of getting rid of stuff - it's just too too much here and some of it I will never ever watch again.

BK, why don't you make up a list of DVDs that you wish to get   rid of, and how much you want to charge, and then tell us in advance when you will post the list so that we all have a chance to see it.  Since I can't afford to buy new DVDs, I am always looking for some deals.

Yes, he's apparently incorrigible that way!

If he ever posts about buying something super-extravagant from a catalog from Gump's, blame me!  :D

We are very happy it wasn't on last night.  I shouldn't say that, our power could go out tonight as well.  We don't have the most reliable power company here.

They know tomatoes were not the cause - everyone knows it.  They do not KNOW the cause, therefore they may as well have said lettuce or cauliflower or squash or onions or anything else - and they, too, would have only been guesses.  They behaved poorly, made a guess that turned out to be incorrect and has been acknowledged by everyone but themselves as to have been incorrect (tomatoes are suddenly perfectly fine to eat), and they cost an industry $200 million dollars.  That makes them Idiots with a capital "I" in my book.

Good Afternoon!

We're just waiting for one more person, and then we, well I, will be finished for the day.  -And for the week.

*And then I plan on spending this weekend on taking care of some long overdue cleaning, organizing and sorting and purging.  -I hope. ;)

Jose, elmore and I have told you before.  Purging is not a diet option. :-\

Happy to do it.  Since JMK got app. $5 for each of his DVDs, that's probably what I'll do.

I'm almost through for the day, although I may jump in and get started on the liner notes for the new Kritzerland CD.  Since Jrand guessed it, and it's finally been guessed at the other site, it's one I'm very proud to announce - Mario Nascimbene's wonderful score to one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures - Scent Of Mystery, a film I've written about extensively, both here and in Kritzer Time.  In fact, I may use sections of Kritzer Time in the booklet.  The booklet will, of course, be in Smell-O-Vision - each user will be on his own, smell-wise, but it will work if you have the proper items in your home and garden :)

Now, this will be strictly limited to 1000 copies, and I think these will go fairly quickly because a couple of online dealers will order big quantities for their overseas customers.  So, as I do from time to time, if you'd like to get yours held (we're about four to six weeks from having them pressed) feel free to place your order now, the usual way - via paypal to kritzerland at adelphia dot net.  The CD will be 19.98 plus the usual 3.50 for shipping.  Be sure to include the album title in your order.

TOD:  Loved Splash, Big, Breakfast Club, The Color Purple, Raging Bull, Risky Business, Out of Africa, Working Girl, there were so many good ones then.  The least favorite was Tron (ugh!), The Goonies, Oscar.

My interview went pretty well but they did give testing for spelling, typing, and Excel.  I did great on the 1st two.  I did better on Excel on other tests but this I only got 55%, dang!  I was so upset with myself.  After I chose the answers, I realized it was wrong after it was too late.  Well, we'll see.  Then I got home and had another message from The Alzheimer's Association as I sent them my resume for a Help Desk Specialist.  I have an interview with them on Monday at 1:00 p.m.

I hope they don't forget that you are coming in for an interview.

Oh Oh. I thought of "Brain From Planet X" today!

We went to the science museum, and they had an exhibit in Feel-o-Rama!

When the volcano was erupting, they turned on the heat lamps. When the wind was blowing, they turned on the fans. When the hurricane was blowing, they turned on the fans and the water dripper, etc.
