And then I finished my evening by watching the first episode in the DEXTER - Season 2 box set which is my next review item. Even though I've seen every episode, I'm looking SO forward to going on this wild ride again. It's SO good, and it certainly deserved its surprise Emmy nomination for Best Drama Series.

I have no writing to do tonight, and the net seems kind of quiet as well, so I think I'll turn in early tonight.

Good night!

I just had a lovely phone call from the wonderful Mrs Frank Loesser, Jo Sullivan, who celebrates in Houston this weekend her mother's 100th birthday.

You'll have to tell her that you have a friend who is named after one of her husband's songs.  :)

Yes, thank you Jane, I have seen it.  I try not to ever post anything (except my often stupid jokes) without first checking Snopes.  George Adamson's murder in 1989 was indeed a tragic end to a beautiful story.

I saw that and checked it on Snopes, too. It made me all weepy!

I wonder if the preview is on the TNT website.

Btw, i just found out Saving Grace season 2 will start here sept 4th.  It's not my favorite show. But it did grow on me!

The TNT website sucks, imho. I can never get any of their clips to play on my Mac, and the producers I work with who have PC's can't get it to work, either.

But I'm sure that if anyone would like to see the 45 sec. next week ons, I know someone who could perhaps send out a link...ahem....

We went up to Marietta to see my godson. On his first day at MDA camp, a kid who thought his wheelchair jopstick looked like a video game control seized hold of it and ran Quinn into a wall and fractured his knee. He's now in a cast (red!) and we went for a visit and to sign his cast.

When I drove off, I heard a strange noise, and discovered my tire was completely flat. I had rolled over a nail somewhere.

A nice teenager from the neighborhood was very anxious to help. He had long hair and glasses and looked like most of my friends did when we were in HS. He had a flashlight on his cell phone so he helped illuminate while we changed the tire and was very helpful. It's always nice when you meet a kid like that!

I forgot to mention that last night I went to a sneak preview of a  movie called GHOST TOWN, with Tea Leoni, Greg Kinnear and Ricky Gervais. I never realized what a marvelous actor he is! (I'd only seen a few minutes of THE OFFICE). I really enjoyed the movie, despite a few holes in the plot.

The event was put together by the board of the Atlanta Film Festival and afterwards there was a  "meet and greet" at a nearby post-house.

It's really funny how everyone know that the place I was working had been bought, and now everyone is hitting on me to move THE CLOSER to their facility. But I think we'll try to stay put for as long as we can. It's very weird though. The new people don't have a clue what we do, or that the people in my room are their clients! They seem to think that we all work for them, when in fact we are helping to pay their salaries! They are extremely nice, so I'm sure eventually they'll figure everything out.

That's why we had to move to Atlanta---we couldn't take all that excitement!

And since I have to get up early to meet a friend for coffee (he's going to follow me to the tire place and then take me to work) I must hit the hay. The friend is a former producer I worked with for years and now heads up the web content division for TNT/TBS. I'm sure he will be interested in the goings on at the post-house, too!

It is DR td's birthday today (Oz time). I wonder if he shall post tomorrow.  He may be on a fishing vacation with that Fishing Boat guy that used to post here.  (was he from South Seattle?)

So soon?

I'll be out all day tomorrow.   :'(

Nope. The roof was replaced a few years ago.

I had to go get a couple of Jack In The Box tacos - they're really low cal and there just wasn't much meat on the chicken that I got, at least that I wanted to eat.

I detect a decidedly not-very-good trend developing re: Gelson's and chicken.  Weren't you disappointed last night by some Gelson's chicken product?
