We tried to book a singer for a special concert, JMK, but he canceled and then just seemingly disappeared.

Singdaw hasn't disappeared--he's here posting.   ;D

That's great, DR JMK!  Are they paying you extra for all the time involved in setting up and administering this program?

I'm well compensated for this job, much more than I've made at a church gig, with a benefits package, which in my experience is totally unheard of for a job like this.  So, no, but I'm happy anyway.  ;)

The last time I tried to perform one of DR JMK's compositions in public, they ran me out of town on a rail.   :P

As a show of appreciation, maybe they'll report his FICA income.

I'm just astounded reading the rationalizations of a young theatre-goer over at All That Chat who feels there is nothing at all wrong with singing along with the performers [from the audience] at a musical.

Re Encores shows -  I've always thought of these four-to-five performance Encores presentations as "events" rather than real revivals.  These are sometimes casts you couldn't get together for a regular run.  While I myself didn't actually scream and holler at the Encores Follies performance I saw, I totally understood about the audience feeling they were at a special event of sorts rather than at a revival, because of the nature of the presentation (only 5 performances, extended to 6 by insane popular demand).

(This differs greatly from the summer Encores shows, which are revivals in several-week runs.)

It is crazy.  If they need to i guess they can sing and dance during the curtain call to shows like MAMMA MIA. But I think i would go crazy if anyone near me in the theatre started to sing!

They need to go back to midnight showings of Rocky Horror.

That Titanic exhibit that DR td is attending today looks like great fun.  :)

Yes.  That's what they said of the initial voyage.

Well there's nothing like a front page picture of yourself in the newspaper to make you realize that...well you MUST lose weight.

Now THIS one should have been your 12,000th!

I start to believe something is really going to happen when I see cover art like that. So I was very escited. I'm excited about DR. SYN, too, but since no one here has expressed much interest in it besides me, I didn't waste space in the photo file uploading a picture of it, too.

I loved that show, but for some reason I only remember it as THE SCARECROW.  I drew a complete pblank when you said DR. SYN.

Have you ever tried to draw a pblank?

As you can tell, I am not at work today.

It was so darn hot last night, that I had trouble falling asleep until almost dawn this morning.  Of course, it it supposed to be even hotter today, with highs in th 90s.
