I have three movies here from the local video store, plus another three DVDs from Netflix, but given that I'll be watching 16 films over the next seven days (starting last night) for the film festival screening, well, methinks I may just want a break from movie-watching soon.

The strangest thing happened yesterday. I was listening to THE CHORUS, which is a lovely French film with lovely French children's voices, when suddenly the voices sounded RUSSIAN!! Good Lord, what happened there???

Then, our lovely low-humidity day (or so we were promised) turned into a GIANT DOWNPOUR. Of course, I'd planned to take a walk for a mid-day break. I did take the walk--after the rain--but low-humidity days in August are much sought-after!

It was a strange day all around. I was pleased that DR JOSE and our other HHW NYers had a lovely day.
