DR TCB - any reviewer who thinks BYE BYE BIRDIE is a lightweight bubble gum musical should not be reviewing theatre. Then again, I didn't see the production.....

A few days ago, TCM or AMC or one of those channels was showing The Great Escape. I caught the last fifteen/twenty minutes or so, and when it was done turned over to TVLand, where they were showing Hogan's Heroes. The dissonance was enough to get me to change channels again, quick.
