I'm back. I've done the unthinkable, I've posted without reading the notes. I haven't read anything since Thursday morning when I went to Minnesota.

Had a difficult flight from MN to NY (it got delayed three times) but I'm back and everything else was fine.

I have much work to do so I won't be reading or posting much today.

Later, gaters.

Good morning, all! Welcome back, DR Ben. I look forward to hearing about the trip.

I'm running late on my scheduled trip to Toyland. Act Three is missing.

Audra McDonald!  I just made a DVD of her "Divas at the Donmar" VHS tape. :D

Audra is my homegirl. Sort of. I don't know her, but she's the pride of our town!

I saw a great documentary last night: MAN ON WIRE about the Frenchman who walked between the World Trade Center tours back in the '70's. Here's the trailer: http://www.manonwire.com/

Good morning to you, Edisaurus.
Actually, I did most of my playing in the wee hours.
This was just mopping up.
I believe Arlo Guthrie is A.G.
I'd thought of Aston-Martin, but haven't the slightest idea if it's one, two, or any persons.
And how did I miss Ally McBeal?

Speaking of potholes, I just got he new Randy Newman album, HARPS AND ANGELS. (There's a funny song about potholes...)

I think it's his best album in years. Well..that's not saying much since it's been 9 years since his last album of songs. But it definitely will rank up there as one of my favorites. It's only $10 on Amazon (it was the #2 album in sales last week!) so I bought extras to share with friends.

When I was listening to it, I had the same feeling as when I first heard SAIL AWAY. The songs are thought-provoking and great fodder for debate!

Randy is going to be playing Carnegie Hall in the near future. I envy you lucky New Yorkers!

I'm bummed about Isaac Hayes---I worked with him quite a bit in the 80's when he lived in Atlanta. Very nice guy.
