Since I'm going to have a friend drop by this afternoon, I know for sure that I'm taking the day off from reviewing chores. The afternoon will pretty much be shot, so I'll have a free day tomorrow with (hopefully) no interruptions to get things watched.

Edisaurus,
Just a few days ago I ordered Harps and Angels on Amazon.  Randy Newman appeared on "Letterman" and sang "Easy Street", backed up by about 12 musicians.  It was gorgeous.  I listened to the samples on Amazon and ordered it immediately.

I still have a few pages from last night to catch up on before i look at the initial.

But DR Cillaliz did mention watching the synchro diving. Yep that was what i had been talking about. They did air it here in the morning. So i got to see it!

And DR TCB, yes i am fine. And yes i live in montreal, not toronto (which is 6 hours away by car, actually the same distance as NYC). Thanks for being concerned. Very sweet.

It was actually quite exciting! But interesting for the US. Because one race (the one with american katie hoff) she was leading and it looked for sure like she was going to win. But because she touched at the end flat handed (instead of with her fingers) she lost. And the american relay, they were so far behind with only a few meters to go. And it looked like they were going to lose for sure. But they ended up winning at the last second. Wow!
still no medals for canada :(

You won't be disappointed. I LOVE this album! The orchestrations are wonderful and the songs are Randy at his most cynical and funny.

I'm not sure what exactly is on tv tonight for me:

I know Canadian Idol

The finale of The Mole (they should have done this last week pre-olympics)

The swimming again after 10pm (too late!)

I have read very good reviews about that documentary, DR Edisaurus!

It has a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.com . Just like a certain documentary about couple of Italian guys... (ahem...still available at Netflicks and all fine purveyors of video...)

In other news: our beloved deco Strand Theatre on the square in Marietta has been in the restoration process for 5 years without much happening, despite millnios of dollars being raised. (It's owned by a city councilman-slumlord who has left it rot for many years and has a demolition permit for it. So we are all putting money into a theatre that he will still own.)

This weekend it was announced that the Atlanta Lyric Theatre will be making it their home next season. The bodes well for The Strand surviving as a theatre. Their new season starts in December, and they are raising the extra money to equip it with what they need for their productions.

They should have productions there for 100 days out of the year. Finally, an exciting development!

I'm also thinking that this would be a fun place for The Brain... to be staged!

And as for today's TOD all I can come up with is Universal International and later Warner Bros. contract actress (and one of my faves!) Andra Martin....here she is with yesterday's TOD James Garner.

Okay, I've done my allotment, and macchus has almost done his - our play shall return first thing in the morning.

I believe 15 was the allotment.  You stopped at 29!   ;D

I'm up, I'm up - and good ones, all!  Need an updated list, but here's some that I don't think have been done.

Andrew Marton - director, but more known as a famed second unit director, especially on the big epics like Cleopatra.

That's 29.  See you all tomorrow.

Closer to 32.  But it's so nice to see you and BK leaving something for the rest of us.

Who knew that new math was invovled????

Yes, that way the rest of us won't get our hopes up that all the names that might pop into our heads won't have been used already.
