When I waited for tickets to ON THE TOWN in the Park, I took a book and arrived around 6 am. I was not the first in line.

Well, DR Elmore, the books are a given, but 6am is not gonna happen!  We'll be on vacation, after all, and we have a date with you the night before!

I didn't sleep well last night.  I was sleeping at six this morning when a painful cramp in my calf woke me up.  I must have hopped out of bed thousands of times in order to work out a bad cramp & never have I fallen.  Down I went, smack!  I scared the heck out of Keith & then he couldn't hear me respond as my face was in the carpet, which scared him even more.

I know how I fell, it hurt too much to get my foot flat on the ground.  What I can't figure out, cuz it happened so fast, was how I worked out the worst of the cramp.  Hey, I'm grateful I did, just surprised.

Of course I landed on my right hand, wrist & arm.  I stayed in bed a couple of hours, dosing on and off, with a cold pack.

I'm bummed that I'll miss THE CLOSER and be dependent on its rerun before next week's episode.

Well, it will be back on at midnight. Have some coffee!

DR Jane, it sounds to me like you're working too hard!

Not yet, I'm just sitting here. ;D

I'll finish the one room I'm half way through & then decide if I'll continue.

I just bought myself a little more time.  I canceled my plans for tomorrow, book group discussion & lunch out afterward with one or two of the members.  I was looking forward to both activities.

BK---You've done 29, and had a huge headstart.

So I will attempt to proceed to match that.

So what happened to the 15 name limit we read so much about?

bk, you are not a good role model!  ;D

(Mom, bk did it, so why can't I??)

Ooops...I mispelled--it should be Albert Maysles, not Albery.
Since he's the Maysles brohter who's still alive, I figured I might as well correct it!

Distant relative Alicia Coutts will be a chance to win a medal in the Olympic Swimming today.

(My Father is Colin Coutts. I am visiting him today. I guess he survived his 102 birthday yesterday)

Perhaps we should all have a limit of 15 names.  It really is difficult for most of the DRs to join in the "game" when there are already 60 names on the list before they log on.

Of maybe only 10 names in any given hour!

"Aileen McMahon" is on the big list twice.
For the record, my original spelling, which has been lambasted, "Aline", is correct.  As Casey Stengel used to say, you can look it up.

Good evening from New York City!!!

The DH and I are doing a semi-"staycation" this week.  We are staying in NYC tonight and tomorrow night and perhaps later on in the week.

Tonight we are going to take in [title of show].  Tomorow we'll be touring The Waterfalls, amongst other things.

Stay tuned!

Hmmmm....only two letters difference between "staycation" and "stagnation."

Somehow, Tommy, I don't think it's about "us".  We seem to be more mop-up than anything.

A. bk didn't identify his entry (did you make, and then delete, the one on page 9?)

B. Use Advance Search and change the "max age since last post" to 1 day and you need only the name. (Failure to do this drives the search engine into overdrive as it tries searching all the HHW files.)

Once I saw that Al Michaels and Al Molinaro had both been named earlier, I did delete my posts "naming" them.

Then, I finished INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE from Showtime-HD. It is a definitely step up from the sDVD, but I'll think long and hard at the price when the Blu-ray goes on sale in October. I'm not sure it's a movie I revisit often enough to warrant a repurchase.

It begs the question, though, whether it was the standard video being broadcast in HD, or whether it was an HD mastering of the film, itself.  At least, that's what I'm thinking "might" be a possibility.  If an HD channel wants to broadcast an anamorphic image of a film that has not been processed for HD, can they not essentially upconvert it for the HD broadcast?
