"Orpha May and Mary Ruth always send the best cards!" (Since DR Slingshot is probably already a-bed.)

My current client likes vampire stories, and I remember someone here saying that Mario Bava's BLACK SUNDAY is a good one. Since I'm giving one of my clients the Randy Newman CD, I thought I'd give the other one a vampire movie. But I see that there are different versions floating around, with different aspect ratios, and even with different composers. Can anyone give me any guidance?

Thanks!

Hmmm... I think I'm going to try to the new Bolt Bus service to and from DC.   It's a spinoff of Greyhound (I believe), and their fares are only between $20 and $25 each way.  I would love to splurge on the train again, but I didn't realize the Amtrak fares took such a jump for the summer months - the "peak" Acela rate is now over $200 each way!

This is good to know as sis and I decided the next time we get that way we want to take some day trips outside of NYC, and that sounds like a pretty dang good price! :)

How far is NYC from D.C. anyhow?  I'm not too smart on these things.  Would that be a day trip possibly?

It's a four hour bus ride each way, so not really that day-trip friendly.  Bolt Bus only operates between a few cities - NYC, Philly, Baltmore, DC, and I think Boston too.  They're "nicer" busses, and even havei Wi-Fi on board too.  And the earlier you purchase your ticket, the cheaper it is.

DR JulieC40 - I always suggest taking the Metro-North train up the Hudson River Line - yes, just like the Billy Joel song.  It's a very cheap round-trip ticket, and you can take it all the way to Poughkeepsie, or stop along the way.  Cool little towns, and there are some nice cafes at most of the stops too.  And the scenery of the river is gorgeous!

A few thoughts about name hogging:

Now, this is not my blog, and maybe it's not my position to say anything.
But:
I would have stuck to 15 names last night if Bruce had.  It's really only competitive between him and me, where it's trench warfare.
There are no prizes.  You don't win anything by having the most names.
I posted most of my names in the wee hours because I'm an incurable insomniac.  I sleep much of the day.
That's why you didn't see much of me in the daytime.
All this being said, between Bruce and I, we posted far less than half the acceptable names.  And many, between his film composers and my sports figures, were names none of you would have had anyway.
We'd kept this game private for a long time, but he thought you'd all like to share in the fun we were having with it.  And from the number of posts this has generated, and the fact that most of you are quite proficient at it, it seems like fun has been had.
We could easily go back and make it private, but the cat is now out of the bag, and as such, I think it's fair for all of us to go for the gusto, to coin a phrase, and not take away from our fun.
What you all are doing is far from mopping up.
The goal is to get as many names up there each week as possible, and for me to beat Bruce.

Back from our first performance.  I had to eat afterwards  -  went over to Little Toni's since that was open late, and had a salad and three pieces of pizza, which is what I felt like eating.  Given the amount that I ran today, I think that was probably okay - certainly it's under 2000 calories.

Performance was pretty good - I never had time to clean up what I wanted to because of having to put our new actress in the show.  So, several things were sloppier than I like, and hopefully we can fix those before tonight's final performance.  Of course, we never had a full run through of the show - that was the biggest problem.  There were some energy issues with a couple of cast members, and hopefully we can fix that, too.  But, overall, it was fairly smooth.  We had about thirty-three people in the audience (the theater only seats sixty-six).
