I'm ready for the Olympics to be over so I can get some sleep!

Me, too, DR Cillaliz!  Even though I knew how it turned out, I had to stay up last night to see Shawn Johnson, which wasn't on here until after 11.  Tonight I'm aiming to go to bed closer to 10, so I'll sign off now.

'night!

Hmmm... So, to cheer up my friend, Michael - who really has had a bad string of days lately - I "enabled" him to Artichoke & Basile's for a slice of their Artichoke Pizza - as well as a slice of their Crabmeat Pizza.  YUMMY!

*And to make sure he was totally cheered up, we then headed to Dessert Club, ChickaLicious** for a S'Mores Cupcake - Brown Sugar Cupcake filled with Chocolate Ganache and topped with Toasted Homemade Marshmallow "Icing".  -And, yes, a picture will be forthcoming.  :)

Jose really knows how to cheer someone up. Is there a low-cal/low-fat variety or do you feel so good that you don't care about the extra pounds?

I've had lasagna - my ex-wife made it quite often.

My friend actually felt like "splurging", so I was only fulfilling his wishes.  ;)

*However, there are some low-cal/low-fat options on the "Cheer Up" list if one should ever desire those.   8)

And I should point out that the picture I posted of the S'Mores cupcake is actually larger than the actually cupcake.  So it was just decadent enough.  :)

...Well, now that I look at it, maybe the pic is not that much larger than the real thing.  Angles, ya' know.

Oh, and here is the pizza in question from Artichoke Basile...

The Sicilian (square pie)

The Crabmeat Pizza

*The above were most definitely not on the "low fat/low cal" Cheer Up List.  ;)

MBarnum, do any of these gentlemen (this one in particular) speak any English?

I did get a very nice surprise in the mail - two small ASCAP checks - love unexpected moolah, even if it isn't all that much.

Maybe I'll have a pizza tonight?  Or a meatball sub.  Or baked pasta.  I'm really hungry and I seem to have my appetite back.

I shall shortly be on my way to sup, after which I shall return.  I am starting to feel better and I promise to try to be back to normal by tomorrow.

As for tonight's "Project Runway"....

HAAAAAA!!!!  I know some of these "models"!

;D

So do I!

A friend of mine is the emcee for a fundraising drag pageant every year and Annida Grenkard and Farrah Moans are always in the show. I don't know Hedda personally but I've seen enough of her shows to feel like I know her.

Jose, last night on the local news there was a story about rising food prices and one of the owners interviewed was an Upper West Side store which features baked goods. It was called

LEVAIN

The owner is worried that she may have to raise her prices yet again due to the cost of raw ingredients.

There are also rumors that Magnolia may be following suit too.

It is very sad when someone you consider a friend doesn't come through for you. Always disappointing, and I'm sure most of us have suffered the same kind of disappointment with this.

It truly is disappointing... and a bit disheartening

Now you tell me, DR JMK.

DR JOSE - I was just afraid a printer with ink cartridges that had to be replaced and replaced and REPLACED would be too troublesome.  So I did buy a nice $85 system with Light Scribe.  You do have to buy special disks, and it takes some time, and as DR JMK says the printing is VERY LIGHT - but I have it and it works.

I love THE TIME MACHINE...and yes the sound mix on the DVD is great.  I also like TIME AFTER TIME, which we went to the movies and saw FIVE times the week it opened, and then another three or four times when it moved to the drive in.

And SOMEWHERE IN TIME - and MR BK is correct, the DVD is NOT anamorphic.

Ron, I also found Phelps rather modest concerning his accomplishments compared to others in the past.
