DR Tomovoz: I was very excited when Aussie platform diver Mitchum overtook the Chinese platform diver and won the Gold Medal. Against incredible odds (being 33 points behind, for one thing), he made every dive count. That is a VERY special medal and exactly the kind of rewarding, extraordinary athletic achievement that makes the Olympics so special.

Between now and December 12th, I have to take 10 days off or lose them (they are annual Floating Holidays and Paid Management Leave days).

I've scattered them generously over the next three months so that I have generous three-day weekends plus the entire week of Thanksgiving.
