DR Richard must really love me, because he just offered to attend evening prayer alone, pick up dinner, and come back here to retrieve me for tonight's theater.  That way I get to see the rest of the Michigan game (which we're losing at the moment  :P )

Well... The still new-ish Brasserie Cognac de Monsieur Ballon up at 55th and Broadway has a decent selection of sandwiches, salads, quiches and pastries at their Take Out counter.  ;)

*Although, the Europa Café across the street from your digs is actually one of the better locations of the franchise in the city.

The next time someone says, "Be still my beating heart", offer them one of these:

Krispy Kreme cheddar bacon cheeseburgers at the Google cafeteria (NYC)

Hmm... I'd have to think a bit before ordering one of those.  Just a bit. ;)

*Although, I can already tell that if I did have one of those, I'd immediately get one of those "you've had too much fat in your meal" headaches.  So... :-\

Yup, he's gonna call from Europa.

DR Ron Pulliam - I hope you have a weekend filled with delicious mouthfuls of Chocolate Cake (and Vanilla Ice Cream), and wonderful memories of your Aunt Fanny.

Back in the spring I reconnected through Facebook with a long-lost college friend.  I learned on FB last night that she was coming to NYC for the weekend.  I just called her and we're going to try to meet up after she and her friends wave on The Today Show Monday morning.  I haven't see her for something like 30-35 years.

Yup, he's gonna call from Europa.

Well, if you click on that link, you can start looking at the menu now, and even pre-order (if it's not past their cut-off time) your dinner so that it will be ready for Richard to pick-up.

Just remember to avoid the Dean & Deluca at Rockefeller Center... Unless you want to be "ambushed" by Kathie Lee Gifford during the fourth hour of "The Today Show".  ;)

I'm back from my second round at the market and I do believe DR MBarnum would be pleased at how his advice is being followed.

I've only accomplished two of my three goals for today, so I think I'll be a bit busy this evening. I did assemble my new bookcase and it's now in place and filled with miniature scores. and I worked on my PHI project for a couple of hours. Tomorrow is invoice day and I gotta pay estimated taxes next month.
I could blame DR TCB for his phone call, but it was the highlight of my day.

I'm sorry I missed DR singdaw but that saved him a round of 20 questions concerning a CD. I look forward to seeing lots of fantastic people tomorow night.

I would love to see "Before" and "After" pics of DDD (Dear Dirty Dog) Sherlock sometime.  Something tells me, he's still quite adorable when he's "smudged".

;D  He looked fine, it was the trail of dirt he was leaving behind that was a clue to bathe him.

That dog has many faults but what a perfect boy walking into the shower.  Today he did two new things...first he waited for an "ok" from me to walk out of the shower.  Then while Keith was using the professional dog blower on him, he tilted his head up to have Keith blow it on the side of his neck, below his ears.  Oh so cute.  Unfortunately we still haven't taken the time to purchase a new camera.

The fact Sherlock holds still for the dryer amazes me.  What our professional dog dryer does is blast air that is just above cold & blows out all the water.

OH!

DR FJL - My parental units have decided to go with their original plan, and not head into the city until Wednesday morning, so I should be able to join the par-tay tomorrow afternoon.

Hmm, the only menu that comes up is Breakfast and the site also says that the Broadway/53rd location is closed on Saturday and Sunday.  I just looked out the window and wonder if the people going in and coming out know that...

And then, after that partay, it looks like I shall be heading to another partay - the one for the "launch" of the next episode of The Battery's Down.  They managed to secure a VIP room at a bar in Hell's Kitchen for the event.  Cool!  I've missed the last two monthly launches, but I figured I should show up for this one since I may have some camera time in this episode (depending on how things were edited) in addition to recording the track for the featured song.

Well, DR Jane, the way the game is going at the half makes me think I should have gone to church and prayed - HARD!

Ah, the site is in "weekend" mode for ordering.  However, if you click on the PDF link for the Menu, you can download the 20-page menu for your reference.  -Or you could just wait for Richard to call later.  ;)

Looking forward to seeing you, Jose!

And continuing a lack of sense of humor about certain things on my part, Jake Wilson certainly is one of the bad ones IMHO and from his interviews about this process, he probably doesn't think he did anything wrong.  His behavior in initially approaching people about composing for The Battery's Down was to say the least appalling.  He sent out personalized, individualized emails to lots of composers, giving them the impression that he specifically was burning to work with them in particular and without letting them know that he was sending the same phonily-personal email to fifteen other composers.   This seems to me like offering a job to fifteen people and then seeing which among them is the biggest name that responds.  Rotten behavior, and he's so young to be pulling crap like that IMHO.

Those Krispy Kreame Cheddar Bacon Cheesburgers look disgusting.  Of course, I feel the same way about those McGridle Sandwiches from McDonald's.  Don't add suger to my bacon and eggs.

So, what are your thoughts about pancake syrup "slipping" over on to the bacon side of your breakfast plate?

-Which, apparently, was the inspiration for this:

-And they now have Flying Chocolate Pigs too!

I thought that was the original working title of "The French Chef"?
