Apparently, Rob Ashford, choreographer of Curtains and Millie and Cry Baby is being brought in as a show doctor for Shrek.  Never mind that Mr. Ashford has few directing credits (one, I think), he's the man they call.  And everyone says that now the show will get better and be brilliant.  I simply remember when another show doctor, Rob Marshall, was brought in to save Seussical.  Didn't work.

There are very few Evening Primrose left (under 100 I think), so if you've waited and procrastinated, now might be a good time to order.

Matt, I am also worried about Hanna. Our neighborhood is full of huge old trees that are stressed by the drought. I have at least a dozen hovering over my house. Thank goodness there's a basement where we and the cats can escape!

My question for Ask BK Day:

When they finally invent a time machine (and you know someday they will) and you get a chance to go back in time, do you have a list of people whose butts you would like to kick?

DR Sandra has quite a list made up.

This is the best laugh I've had all day...thank you DR Laura

I'm not particularly worried about Hanna.

But I am expecting to get called in to work on my second day off this week.

Dear Elmore:

Jessica's Biscuit has 186 books in their diabetic section.  Some of them are probably crap, of course, but at least it's a goodly selection, and you can peruse and compare prices.

Oh, the link provided should take you directly to the section.

I've been perusing the TV Guide fall preview edition.

I may get a lot of sleep this year, instead of watching television.

Either that, or TV Guide isn't anywhere near as good as they used to be in getting me excited about new shows.

HONEY WEST did indeed come out yesterday, as well as SUPERNATURAL SEASON THREE and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SEASON FOUR.

So many dvds, so little time.

P.S. TD came out yesterday, too.

I can do nothing without a referral from my HMO "caretaker" (funny, right?), so stop bitching about an endocrinologist I have no referral to visit. I'm not happy about this, but that's the state of HIP art. Dammit!

I just HAVE to ask -- did you request a referral?

Interesting...Rob Ashford Brought in to Assist with Broadway-Bound Shrek.

Maybe I'd better go see it again. ;)

DR George, I love to see previews and I hope I have the chance to watch another show develop the way I saw CURTAINS develop.  I'd say if you liked it at all and you can see it again....go to SHREK again!

This afternoon I took the girls to the vet for their shots.  We lost track of when they were due in the vet change and they were a couple months overdue.  It was quite the adventure.  I got them in their carriers without incident. Then the 20 + minute car ride to the vet.  They talked and talked and talked and did everything they could to display their dislike of traveling in the car.

Then we got to the vet and you would think they both forgot the meaning of meow. They got their shots (Callie gets the extra benedryl since she has had reactions)  all was well and on the way home, Boo found her voice and certainly let me know that she did not enjoy this trip at all.

They are now home and it looks so far so good.  I am especially glad that they have had their rabies shots.  We haven't had a bat yet, but it could happen any time.

DR Cilla-If I join Facebook, as you suggested, & request an invite to belong to your group of friends.  What do you do if you don't want to accept me?  Have you ever done that?
