While on my way to the mailbox I met up with a woman down the road I haven’t seen in at least a year.  We would still be chatting if her husband hadn’t come looking for her when the dogs returned home on their own. ;D Long before I had used my cell phone to inform Keith my arrival would be delayed.

And tomorrow... Well... My brother is taking the 6:00 train back to D.C.  However, before then, he's made a lot - A LOT - of plans for him and John before the head to Penn Station.  Heck, I'm not even sure I could accomplish all the things he wants to get done in that window of time.  -But we're going to try!

I only saw Mr. Shearing live once - at Carnegie Hall, I think, with Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth - what an evening THAT was.

Alas, I wasn't in the proper stance for this picture... But it's close...


That's my brother's Coast Guard buddy, Steve. -Who has actually graced these pages before.  He met us for our afternoon snack at the Nespresso Café, and my brother and him just went out to grab an adult beverage or two while Uncle Jojo watches over John.  *Steve's also a brand new father!  His daughter was born a week ago.  :)

I had a wonderfully weepy time revisiting the rest of the GREY'S ANATOMY episodes. That episode with the two soldiers tears me up every time I see it. So beautiful.

I began on the bonus features but only got one of them watched: an 8-minute introduction to the three new females who joined the cast this year as regulars. A puff piece to be sure, but nice to hear how they got the jobs. Chyler Leigh (Lexie) didn't even have to audition! She got the job during the interview.

I am watching a very long but so far interesting motion picture on DVD.  It's one I've had for a while, and I don't think I've watched more than two of the six movies included in this set.

Tonight I recorded off HBO-HD one of last year's big Oscar nominees: MICHAEL CLAYTON. I never saw it in theaters nor have I rented/bought the DVD/Blu-ray/HD-DVD.

I had no idea that I'd have ANY free time this weekend to watch anything for fun, but I might actually be able to watch MICHAEL CLAYTON tomorrow afternoon.
