Now, I'm going back through the older featurettes compiled for the original 2001-release of the films on DVD (is that better stated, DR George? :o )

I love THE MARRYING KIND. Both actors are superb (Aldo's first movie; Cukor worked very closely with him to get what he wanted. Aldo admitted many years later that he did let Cukor "get intimate with him" and that he had no regrets about it.)

Tomorrow I'll likely watch MAD MEN from HD On Demand while I cook and eat lunch. Then, I'll get back to those GODFATHER featurettes. There are a PILE of them.

Well, I'm going to write for a little while and then head downstairs to bed.

Good night!

As a matter of fact I was going to watch THE MARRYING KIND tonight, and preted I was George Cukor...but I cannot find the DVD....so I will instead watch the 1912 silent version of CLEOPATRA that is on my DVR from when TCM showed it a few weeks ago.

MBarnum, I'd be interested to know what you (or anyone else who's seen this) think of the music that they used.  It's certainly NOT the original score. :P

BK - I'm confused.  Their show is 12 days away. They seem to be calling themselves the "producers.'   Who (or is it whom) are they expecting will send out these press releases?  Or do they mean they haven't bee included in any of the NYMF press releases yet?  With twelve days to go, they have plenty of time to, as Jose says, make their own luck.  As you may recall. the shows that did not have name stars had to push hard to be part of NYMF's publicity machine, and had to do much on their own.

NYMF sends out press releases for every show - but not theirs.  They also are paying a publicist who doesn't seem to be doing a very good job.  I feel their pain, frankly, but they should not be the producers - that said, they also hired a general manager firm, so why they're not dealing with it is anyone's guess.

bk - Is there a reason you hadn't shipped back the terminal before now?

Because he was told upfront that there would be no charges and no fees - either he misunderstood that or the guy just told him that - who knows?  But the inference was that we could use the stuff when we needed to.

Hmm... Sounds like he misunderstood.  I'm guessing that the company thought that you were just going to use it for the benefit - a short term rental, and that was it.  Otherwise, there's really no reason for you to keep the machine - from the company's point of view.  Just be glad you didn't have an additional agreement with VISA/MC or you'd be paying LOTS of other charges right now.

Been hooked on the theme song from ANGIE lately.  This has happened before - almost any time I hear Maureen McGovern sing, I want to listen to the theme from ANGIE.

I'll stock up on prunes. because you never know what the effect could be of hearing "Love it conquers, love it binds" over and over.

FJL, I can't believe neither JR nor I posted about FF's 98th birthday today.  I guess obsession only goes so far.  ;)

Then again, I have some excuses--I have been swamped writing various musics for various groups, and also penning an endless stream of reviews.  Just got out reviews on Blu-Ray Speed Racer (I love this movie, I know I may be the only one, LOL), the History Channel's Rome, and just a few minutes ago Torchwood 2.  Now I still have Blu-Ray Godfather(s), Blu-Ray Shrek 3, a new Yes concert DVD set and Blu-Ray Interview with a Scientologist (or something like that) to do, which means I will no doubt forget FF's 99th birthday.

Well... I was hoping to sleep in tomorrow, but tomorrow is "Exterminator" day.  So, sometime between 9:00am and 11:00am there will be a knock-knock-knock on our door, so...

Goodnight.

Sorry, you are not alone. - I took the Grandlads to see it and had a great time (I even have the DVD to share with them.) Leave it to the Matrix team to turn a live-action arcade game into an exciting theatrical romp.
