Who won?  Who lost?  What was clever?  How was the tribute to the Smothers Brothers (whom I adore)?

Re: The Tonys Emmys (see how tired I am?  It's these 46-hour work weeks.   :P)

Josh Groban does comedy?????

And surprisingly well!   :D

By way of explanation, Groban did a medley of TV theme songs.  But he did them in the voice of each show.  His take on South Park was spot on.  This one is gonna make YouTube easily.

The salute was a special writing Emmy for Tom Smothers.  He's looking good, and his timing is still impeccable.

He is touring in his one man show based on this book. He is a hoot and a wonderful evening in the theater. So if it comes your way I recommend it. LJ stays after the shows and sells his books, takes pictures and meets and greets.

But after reading this book I am not sure I really wanted to know what I now know about him. I rather just watch his performances in comedy shows.

He came to Richmond a few years ago to perform in his other show, Hysterical Blindness and Other Southern Tragedies That Have Plagued My Life Thus Far.  First of all, what a very funny show, and what a very funny man.

What was really kind of endearing was that he actually came to Richmond to do the show for a very small company in a very small theatre, and for basically no money.

Good Evening!

Well... I got back to the apartment just in time to see the "reading" of the names for the Best Writing for a Comedy or Musical Series (or something like that)... Very inventive and funny.  -Although, I don't think I really needed to see Stephen Colbert just in his boxer shorts.

Oh, you would prefer to see him without his boxers?

I'm not watching but this is a news item

Jeremy Piven of "Entourage" and Jean Smart of "Samantha Who?" received best supporting comedy acting honors at Sunday's Emmy Awards, with Zeljko Ivanek of "Damages" and Dianne Wiest of "In Treatment" nabbing supporting trophies for a drama series.

...Since the year he was up for an Emmy, he withdrew his name from the ballot since he thought he was too "volatile" and would cause the team of writers to lose.

Here is something I think that is more important than the Emmy's

13,000 children hospitalised in China milk scare

China said nearly 13,000 children were in hospital Sunday after drinking toxic milk powder in a dramatic escalation of Beijing's latest safety scandal.

As the World Health Organization questioned Beijing's handling of the crisis, premier Wen Jiabao appeared on state television promising to head off further incidents.

Yes, that story broke last week.  And a true tragedy.  The company added a chemical to the milk so that it would test higher for protein content.  Alas, it also made it poisonous to the children it was meant to nourish.

The more I read & watch Factcheck, the less I believe anything either "side" says.

Well, I'm with you on that one.  Sorry, this has just gotten very personal. I'm tired of personally being called names because I'm not voting for Obama. Tonight my yard sign was stolen and it was way up in my yard. It's not funny to me anymore. I guess I have to join the people who are now afraid to say who they support for fear of what will happen.
