If you don't have allergies, you sure get sick a lot.

My few maladies, allergy-related or viral,  are not a patch on the maladies, and duration of same, discoursed upon daily in this forum.

TOD:
What songs did you hear for the first time that you KNEW would make it?  (Right or wrong---  Everybody participate.

I heard Peter, Paul, and Mary in a coffee house in NYC perform  "If I Had a Hammer" and "Lemon Tree" before they recorded them.

My question for BK:

Will we ever have the ability to use new avatars that aren't squished?

Evidently, you can only unsquish old, previously downloaded avatars. Anything new you want to use, whether you download them or link to them, are squished.

The avatar I am using is one I have out-aged, and would like to go back to my more current one (which I had never downloaded to the HHW, thus it is not in the cache).

I can't answer this question - can anyone else - seems like there must be a way for that to work.  If not, I'll post the question on the software board.

A QUESTION FOR BK:

I recently noticed that there is no link/button to "Today's Notes" (the HHW homepage), like there is/was on the old board.  Would it be possible to add that back?

That's my question/request.

Thanks for your consideration. :)

The old link buttons from the old board were set up by the guy who did all the software for our site - the people at the software company don't do that sort of thing, so I'm afraid we're without that particular link.

This morning I forgot to take a key with me when I went for my walk, and so I sat outside on the porch swing until my DH got home. Luckily it is his day off.

Now I get to go sit through a board meeting. Whoopee!

Very anxious for the Pool Man to get here because something is amiss and awry, not necessarily in that order.  The water is all cloudy and murky and gross.

Did someone mention "If I Had a Hammer" - isn't it time to see the Debbie Reynolds version again, and then atone for giggling about it?

bk - Well... If they were able to add the "Calendar" button/link, then they should be able to add another button/hyperlink to the Notes.  -Of course, you would not be able to click through back to this board via the Notes, so... Hmm..

I will admit that I was totally wrong about Herb Alpert becoming popular (but of course, I didn't realize that he was backed by the Mafia).

Please elaborate.

The calender "button" is built into the software.  The link to the notes was not, in fact, a button - it was a hyperlink set up by the guy who designed the site with Bakalor.   And you can click back to the board from the notes - that link has been fixed.

I wonder if it might work if you upload your new avatar photo to the old HHW site.  Could you maybe then make use of it in the new HHW site "unsquished"?

I'm wondering if there is some sort of "delay" involved with uploading and properly resizing the avatars.  I just scrolled back through the list, and it looks like the one I uploaded for "UncleJojo" is appearing at full size now.  So, maybe someone could upload an avatar and save the change to the their profile.  Then go back to the profile settings, reselect the avatar and see what happens.

Hmm...
