In local news, although not all precincts are reporting yet, it looks like Sheriff Joe wins again, and Arizona passes an amendment to ban gay marriage.

Well the pink underwear manufacturers can breathe a sigh of relief

Apparently, Mr. Obama is our new President.  Mr. McCain has conceded.  I have also conceded and shall only be President of haineshisway.com.

That's Senator Obama, and Senator McCain.

And if the song and dance from DISCO DANCER did not tickle your fancy, this I guarantee will...at least if you like cats.

So far with ten percent reporting, it looks like Proposition 8 is getting way too many "yea" votes.  I hope it turns around, but it's not looking good, and I hope the people who were behind the deceitful and disgusting campaign get the karma they're so going to deserve.

From a primer at CNN.com about the Electoral College

Generally speaking, a candidate who has the most popular votes in a state also receives all of its electoral votes. Two states, however, can split their electoral college. Maine and Nebraska apportion their votes between congressional district and two at-large votes. Yet neither state has ever split its electoral vote.

I'm wondering if this is similar to the letter that DR SWW wrote to his father...

The America we should be: vote no on Proposition 8

That could be a very close race in some places.  A tie even!

I watched the kitty dance.  The cat looks like Petey.. my cat I had for 15 years before I had to put him to sleep.  It's a cute video

For some reason, my computer just turned itself off!  Three times!  The first time it happened, I had just logged into HHW, using the Flock browser and the power just turned off...no warning, no nothing.  I couldn't turn my computer back on with the power button.  I had to turn off the power strip, wait a few seconds, then turn on the power strip before the computer would turn back on.  Anyway, I used Internet Explorer the second and third times and it seems to be running now.  Hopefully my computer will not just shut down again without me specifically shutting it off ...hopefully.

Well, it's after midnight and I need to sleep.  I didn't sleep well the last two nights (time change, and all) so I should get to sleep earlier than normal, which is really normal in the old time. ;)
