Well, I think I heard the UPS man drop off something. It may be WALL-E on Blu-ray (supposed to come this week), but it could be anything or he may have been leaving stuff for my neighbor instead. I'll see.

For Remembrance Day here tomorrow (canada) many people where poppies on their jackets (actually for weeks before the day). I always thought they did that in many countries. I'm now assuming they don't do this in the US. But do they do it elsewhere?

Listening to the Carmen McCrae CD I got yesterday.  Great songs, nice quartet backing her, and one of the most ineptly produced session recordings I've ever heard.  Distortion on the guitar, no reverb on her (she sounds like she's in a two by two closet instead of a natural spacial environment.  Horrible.

Good Afternoon!

...And while my MacBook is being "restored" from my Time Machine back-up...

*The "Estimated Time" for the restore, first came up as "5 hours, 48 minutes".  Hmm... Then once the restore started, the estimated dwindled to "1 hour, 33 minutes".  That was just 20 minutes ago.  And, now... "27 minutes remaining".  :)

I think DR Ann was looking for an alternate furnace vendor.

I've never used it, but I'm curious about "Angie's List" online - sort of the service company equivalent of "Craig's List."

Dear Jose - I don't see any reason why I should complain about the iPhone - it works great and I love it.

John, an old vet from the area who got part of his face blasted off when he was in the service, has been selling poppies all week.

Dear Jose - I don't see any reason why I should complain about the iPhone - it works great and I love it.

Just remember:

There's currently no "cut and paste", nor "copy and paste" available.  -And, alas, it looks like that capability is low on Apple's "iPhone To-Do" list for now.

There are a couple of Apps that allow you to use the "landscape keyboard" for your Mail replies.  However, there are still no Apps for using the "landscape keyboard" for text messages.

*I still love my iPhone (too), and unlike some of my friends, I've been very "lucky" with the standard features and connectivity.  However, it does seem that Apple has been quietly acknowledging that there are some "dud iPhones" out there... "Oh, well, it looks like we're going to have to replace your iPhone at no cost to you."

And speaking of Richard Sherman....

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears

That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all....
