This isn't a joke, I don't have a punchline.

Obama's poor daughters!  What did they ever do wrong to deserve that?

Hmm, well that was meant as a joke (I think the dog is kind of cute), but I have apparently driven everyone away.

Not me, DR TCB!

'm back from 14th Street and a lovely Italian dinner, some tasty salmon with spinach and potatoes. I saw a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in about 14 months and caught up on all the gossip. On the way back there was a subway artist - the first I've ever seen in my 30 years of Manhattan living - who sketched me and my friend Wayne. The sketches are quite good.

elmore, I am glad you had a nice dinner.  Did the artist sketch the two of you clothed, or naked?

The artist was probably clothed, DR TCB.

Obviously, a sockeye.

If I could scan the sketch and show you, you would find out.  I hate trying to track down the endless quotes before writing something!

I sent my sister-in-law Jo today an email that I would not be back to Ohio for Thanksgiving, but that I was seriously thinking about flying back for Christmas, maybe from Dec 15 to Dec 28 or so, depending on their plans. She wrote back to say they had no plans to go anywhere, I was withering away to nothing, needed some good downhome cooking, and to come whenever I want. So, I think Christmas is booked.

Sorry.

I hope that's not a reference to my post about all the quotes, DR TCB! You have too many other things to be sorry for. I need a smiley face? Where are my smiley faces? Oh, God, I feel like Rex Reed at the end of MYRA BRECKINRIDGE.

I see that "Marley and Me" is now a movie.   I somehow think I will not bother!

Why? Was the book not any good? I kept meaning to get it.

Welcome back, DR MBarnum! How was the movie? Did the kids explain it to you?

You are getting the hang of it now  ;)

I know how you feel.  Reducing the excess quotes is a bit of a nuisance as well. ;D

well folks, the votes are in.... I see the oncologist on Friday

We have not told the Vixter yet - we will wait until the oncolgist tells us specifics, no need getting her upset when we don't have any specific answers for her

Please keep those prayers and vibes acoming

I may try to experince another cliche/movie/vaudeville bit.

A pie in the face, perhaps?    :)

Hmmm. I'll have to see if this can be arranged.

Oh, DR Vixmon

Are you staying calm?  Please know I am keeping you deep in my thoughts & prayers.

VIBES BIG TIME!

Yes - so far - yesterday I was invited(by someone who had no knowlege of what 's been going on) to a women's prayer meeting to be held at church tonight

I wasn;lt planning on going but since it was held 4 hours after i was given the news, I decided I would, and I am so glad I did -  it was exactly what I needed

- the ENT is really very pro-active - he called and gave me the news  then HE called the oncologist and made an appointment for me and had them call me to advise me of the time and location

He tells me this is the Dr he would send a member of his familyy to..

I was working at the time I got the news  and my co-workers and boss are being very supportive -

Also, because of the holiday, Vixdad was home when I got home and we wer able to talk right away

thank you for the prayers and vibes I treasure them -- I am worried mostly about the Vixter --

I'm glad work is supportive, I'm sure that gives you a certain level of comfort.  Are you talking your thyroid or something else?

Good for your ENT & all the caring people around you.

I'm thinking positive, good thoughts for you.
