Ann, others gave you the advice I'd have given.  It costs the buyer nothing to withdraw the payment and redo it to the correct address.  And I would still try with paypal, giving them the transaction number of the sale and all your eBay info.

WARNING!

I am always pretty cautious about forwarding virus warnings, so I usually check them out pretty carefully before I do.  This one is the real McCoy and at this time of year would be easy to fall for, with gifts and packages being ordered online.

So, I will skip the warning, and just give you the hyperlink.  Better safe, than sorry.

That had nothing to do with the ex status, though.

The only problem is, now that the buyer knows (from Ann's email) that it's an "inaccessible" account, if they're smart (and/or devious), they'll realize that if she can't get the moolah, after 30 days it will come back to them.  And since she's already mailed the item, they know it's too late for her, so to speak.  Plus, they can leave negative feedback with impugnity (since it will show they paid--*someone**--via PayPal).  Ann of course is limited to leaving positive feedback.  It's exactly the sort of situation why I absolutely refuse to sell on eBay anymore.

Good vibes of all kinds to all of us!

And to the nice kitty getting prepared for a soon-to-be transfer to her new "forever" home.

der Brucer

I hope DR Laura names the kitty "Terry"....'cause it rhymes with the name of its "forever dad"!

;D  I would spell it Teri.

Here's something practically topical:

Subject: Just in time for Christmas

A real virus - don't open any attachment that purports to come from UPS or
FedEx claiming they couldn't deliver a package you sent. UPS and FedEx
don't normally include attachments in any email they send. This attachment
contains a virus. Here is the snopes.com write-up:

http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp

Thanks for the tip/warning.

It's funny how some shows lose their chemistry as the years roll on.  I'm thinking about ALICE.  When it first started, I actually enjoyed the show and the cast, particularly the friendship between Linda Lavin's Alice and Polly Holliday's Flo.  But I guess as egos and temperaments and resentments grew and cast members (and their replacements)  left, any evidence of an ensemble withered up and blew away.  In it's later years, there was really no reason to watch this show.

Yes, there was, Phillip McKeon.

I have been receiving those ups emails at the church email account for weeks now. I knew they were a scam from the beginning. No one give out that email address, except it is posted on the web for people to make inquiries.

I got the proposal from the printer people. It is way more expensive than we can afford.

I'm sorry.  I hope you can find a much better deal elsewhere.  I would also give the company a bad rating for not reimbursing you for a useless contract.

Oh god I hope the buyer isn't that cruel.  I mean, she can if she so chooses, but it would be really mean!

This may be the first and last time I sell on ebay!!

I am home from work and from visiting Stan.  Today was the first day that I actually began to feel that maybe Stan wasn't coming back.  I know it is too early to even think such things, but I really didn't recognize the man in the hospital bed - and he certainly didn't recognize me.

I send vibes for you and Stan, TCB.  I hope he does regain some sense of himself.  The human brain can be an amazing thing.  I'm sure it must be very difficult to see him like that, though.

I got the 3-Disk special edition, too.

I also bought one of those smaller shelf style CD players....stand up and flat to replace the AIWA monster from 2002.....if I want BIG sound, I can always play my music through my home theater system from RCA.

I still haven't decided if I want to listen to my Hermann Christmas CD or keep it sealed for the future.....

Evening all!   It's cold here in the land of Sunshine.  Would you believe we will be down in the 30's?  What is even more amazing is that it was in the 30's  when I was in Pittsburgh and I don't think I felt as cold as I do now.

I am just so very grateful that I went when I did.  My understanding (and DR td can tell me if it's true) that they had 1" of snow yesterday.  I was so worried about driving on icy/snowy roads.  SOMEONE above was really watching out for me.  :)
