As of last week, a new catering outfit took over our company cafeteria.  Every morning they freshly bake these amazing cream scones with raisins and a lemon/orange glaze that are TO DIE FOR.

But....  I must resist.    :(         :P

By 7:30 all 37 cartons were lined up in the hall

And by 7:31 the nasty neighbor was haranging the super...

I anticipated that and hanged a sign "Fed Ex pickup today between 9 am and 3 pm" on the cartons/

DR Ben, have you watched THE COURT JESTER yet?

...We are having a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very important meeting with the new President of our organization (the emphasis is from others not me, I've met him, he's a very nice, personable and intelligent man) tomorrow morning so I have to look my best as well as go over my "talking points" I have to remember to stay on script :-)

DR Ben - be sure to tell him GO BLUE for me!

TOD:
Whether or not you care for the film, I think it's above average, THE 5TH ELEMENT is an outstanding dvd.
SWEENEY TODD, THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET
THE WIZARD OF OZ
GONE WITH THE WIND
THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD

For animation, I'd go with:
WALL-E
FINDING NEMO
SLEEPING BEAUTY

B & W catalog titles:
NOW, VOYAGER
NOTORIOUS

Methinks that after that dance one would neither have to ask nor tell.

I hope that DR KERRY's dental appointment goes well. I saw my dentist on Tuesday and was told I need EIGHT crowns!!! I'm still reeling from that news.

TOD:

Best DVDs:

THE JAZZ SINGER--this has been one of the most intriguing DVD sets I've ever purchased.  I would have to say that all of the supplemental material in this set is wonderful--no filler here!

LORD OF THE RINGS sets--I think these sets show off the films beautifully and the added scenes do not slow the movies up one bit.  There is almost too much supplemental material but just about all of it is worthwhile to at least browse through.

AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS--Just to show off the medium's ability to showcase older and semi-obscure material (semi-obscure to mainstream television viewers, that is.)  And beside, I just love AMAHL--I played this one at least five times last Christmas season.

How many kids does that dentist have in college?

The educational DVDs are the most impressive (no, not the ones owned by DR ELmo...) -- like the ones put out by the Discovery Channel ... Planet Earth, etc.

Good morning!

It's a little warmer today but it's the calm before the cold storm since temps will be plunging back to record lows starting tomorrow. Ugh! Cold weather got here too fast this year.

Unfortunately the History Channel and A&E still put out a lot (a LOT) of unenhanced product (not a euphemism), which drives me slightly nuts.
