ASK BK

What is your favorite or what do think is the best score by the following film composers (If you don't have a favorite/best you don't have to make a choice.)

Bernard Hermann
Erich Wolfgang Korngold
Franz Waxman
Max Steiner
Victor Young
Alfred Newman
Dimitri Tiomkin
Hugo Friedhofer
Aaron Copland
Alex North
David Raskin
Ernest Gold
Elmer Bernstein
Henry Mancini
Jerry Goldsmith
John Barry
John Williams

or anyone else I might not have listed that you like,

Herrmann - today it's North By Northwest - tomorrow, it would be something else
Korngold - The Adventures of Robin Hood
Waxman - Sunset Blvd.
Steiner - don't know if I have a favorite, but I'll say The Searchers
Young - Around The World In Eighty Days
Newman - The Counterfeit Traitor
Tiomkin - High Noon/The High and the Mighty
Friedhofer - The Best Years Of Our Lives
Copland - The Red Pony/Our Town
North - Spartacus
Raksin - Laura
Gold - Exodus
Bernstein - To Kill A Mockingbird
Mancini - Breakfast At Tiffany's/Days Of Wine and Roses (not the Tiffany's LP, but the actual score)
Goldsmith - A Patch Of Blue
Barry - Robin and Marian
Williams - The Accidental Tourist

Those are today's personal favorites - maybe not the best scores they wrote, but my faves.

Larry, I won't be there but I remember Fred saying to Bruce yesterday that 3pm is the scheduled start time for your Turkey Day festivities.

Got a decent night's sleep with more weird dreams.  I'll go down to the exercise room in about twenty minutes.

Maybe I'm not cut out for these new fangled phones.

I don't believe that for a moment!    :)

Actually, for the line of work that I do and as much as I keep up on reading about the latest technology, I'm generally very slow to embrace anything new.

That's a very pretty picture from Indiana, DR DerBrucer.  Puts me in the mood to play George Winston's DECEMBER.

Good morning!

Really cold this morning and probably not getting out of the high 40s today. It's very pretty outside, however, so lunch out today should be pleasant.

I'll be starting work on the Blu-ray of LOST today, so that should occupy me for 2 or 3 days. Looking forward to seeing the episodes again after many months away from the show.

I do plan to watch ROSIE LIVE (but not live, of course). She's got some fun-sounding guests, and I'd love for a real variety show to make it in prime-time again.

I was pretty surprised when they announced brooke as the winner (very happy). Dialidol had warren clearly as #1 and i don't think they've ever been wrong when they clearly stated a person was #1 (sometimes they are not positive and they say so). I thought the show overall was pretty bad. So much filler. I wish they had shown the free style dances again. I wasn't thrilled with getting to see prior dances again. Luckily i just fast forwarded through much of it.

Someone in Indiana won 58 mil on Powerball last night, so if JR is E&T, we probably still shouldn't chide him.....until we know for sure.  :)

The pumpkin pies are bee-yoo-tee-ful - and they smell good, too!

Relatives are gathering - my cousin and his wife from Georgia are at my aunt's, my sister and her husband are on their way to my mom's from Michigan, my niece will soon be on her way from Illinois, and nephew from Michigan will arrive in time for dinner tomorrow.

Not only are we celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, but it's also my mother's 90th birthday.
