I'm not sure quite what it is, but I am sure it is befitting our own DR MBarnum!    :)

Wednesday morning greetings!  I had a medical appointment (routine screening) first thing this morning and am just getting to my desk.  It's cold, windy, rainy, and foggy here in SW Ohio today.  If the temp drops a little, we'll have a frozen mess.

Have any DRs seen THE COUNTERFEITERS? I had not heard much about it, but it won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film for 2007. Nice film. I love the soundtrack and thought it worked well. I don't recall it being discussed either either by BK or the DRs. Of course, that could be the fault of my memory.

Like Ginny, I'm off in a few minutes for a doctor's appointment, then I'm meeting a structural engineer to find out what's REALLY wrong or not wrong with my house.

DR singdaw, I thought Stephen Schwarts was still writing his opera. I would certainly like to see it.

I got my ticket for the opera tonight, and now I'm off to deal with other hells.

I saw it a few months ago.  Thought it was very good; fascinating true story.

In general, I try to avoid Holocaust movies, but this was an exception.

We're in the months-long process of emptying out the house in preparation for our move to Austin, TX in late March, and I keep finding fun stuff.

Do any of you remember when People Magazine mistakenly referred to "the late Abe Vigoda"?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And since I was up at 8:30, I decided to head out to run some errands in the neighborhood.  Alas, it seemed that everyone else I was dealing with was still waking up (too).

They had presentations of it a week or two ago as part of some Opera conference here in NYC.  I was not able to attend, but I know some people who did, as well as some people in the cast.  Everyone involved seems to have liked it, and, thankfully, operas in their "early stage" are given more of a benefit of the doubt than their musical theatre counterparts.

When exactly did HHW become a Not Suitable for Work site?  :)

Depends on where you work.

LOL! Thanks, DR JRand. You gave me my first real laugh of the day!

Good morning!

Holy moley! It is BALMY outside today! It's overcast and moist, so with the warm temperatures and humidity, I thought I was in Florida for a minute!

So, if we can have "Christmas in July", I guess that could make today, "Easter in December".

61 degrees on December 10!?!?!?!?!?!  In NYC!!!!

I slept about an hour longer than I usually do. Consequently, I'm running way behind my usual schedule for the morning activities. I'll have to clean the den while lunch is cooking, though I did find time to do my workout this morning.

Waiting for me on the porch a little bit ago were three review discs: EAGLE EYE, THE DUCHESS, and GHOST TOWN. Looks like I'll be doing EAGLE EYE today.
