DR Ginny - is this day at all bittersweet for you?  Or are you just ready to GET ON WITH IT?    :)

If anyone would like a Standard Def PLANET EARTH, let me know.  Yours for $10 including shipping, which due to its weight will probably be $5.00.  The guy who normally gets all this old stuff already has two PLANET EARTHS from me, so I thought perhaps he wouldn't mind passing on this one.  :)

I wonder when DR Elmore would like to come over to sit by our Christmas tree and eat Shaddock's pizza?

Does he get a glass/cup of Christmas cheer?

Beautiful pictures.

DR MBARNUM sent me OM SHANTI OM and I enjoyed it very much.

Brantley didn't like PAL JOEY...

Great review DR GEORGE and the costumes look very nifty.

Beautiful snow photos. Snow is so pretty. But I'm glad we don't get it here. We had snow at my house once -- in 1989, I think it was.

This video might explain DR Laura's printer problems.

Joshie loves the printer.

DR Cillaliz - your house in that top photo almost looks like a Thomas Kinkade painting!!  :)

This might give you an idea of the depth. The ground is flat and even with the brick walkway

Thanks. I love this kind of snow.  It's not that cold out and no wind.

I may build a real fire in the fireplace this afternoon (as opposed to a duraflame log).  I have some wood in the garage that I should probably use. It was here when I bought the house so it should be very dry

DR Singdaw, thanks for the monkey cake recipe.  It would be a lot less work to use a regular cream cheese frosting.  It wouldn't be exactly the same, but it would be much easier than making it with fondant

You are welcome, DR Cillaliz.  And you are right - following that course, it wouldn't seem too daunting a task.

Maybe you'll get little baby printers.

*And, I think, what they fail to mention, is that the fondant base makes it easier to display the cake on the counter instead of in a refrigerator case. ;)

Just set up Mail on my mac so that all my various AOL account mail is going there now.  I'd imagine that if I respond from there it will look as if I'm responding FROM AOL, yes?  And from now on, any mail that comes in will be saved and/or archived there.  Now, can you set it up so you're only seeing the most recent e-mails, not ones from ages ago?  Like a folder or something?

I just got back from the post office where I overheard the following exchange.  This actually happened.

Clerk: Where is this going?

Customer: Washington State.

Clerk: Is that in the U.S.?

Folks must be cheapening up in these economic times - the Postman seemed startled when I handed him his Christmas Gift Card.
