I presume that if I go and change my billing to free AOL, I won't have any problems like what BK is experiencing? I hope.

I better do some researching to see.

DR MBarnum - Since you store your mail online, you could also just use AOL.com for your e-mail needs.

Which explains why I got hung up

I can think of other reasons why someone might want to hang you up!     ;)

I suspect there is a long, long, long line!

Oh, and my costuming for that holiday show (and Bad Seed experience) had me so preoccupied, that I forgot to share that I got my Master degree on Dec. 6 -- stick a fork in me -- I'm officially done, finished, fini.

I'm a survivor!!

Congratulations, Miss Karen!! :D

I just got back from the post office where I overheard the following exchange.  This actually happened.

Clerk: Where is this going?

Customer: Washington State.

Clerk: Is that in the U.S.?

Friday afternoon greetings!  I'm more than halfway through my last day here.  The information-waitressing is going fine and my successor is picking up that routine quite quickly.

I wonder when DR Elmore would like to come over to sit by our Christmas tree and eat Shaddock's pizza?

Soon! Did you get your phone message?

Jo's computer is up and running, I'm tipsy from the wine at lunch, I've seen my dear niece-by-marriage Corby, and planning my evening. All's good!

John Simon LOVED Pal Joey.

As did Variety.

And many many others.

OUCH!

I just read Brantlet's review of Pal Joey in the New York Times.

OUCH!

OUCH!

OUCH!!!!

You mean:

Quote
When Ms. Channing, as the alcoholic society matron Vera Simpson, sings the show’s most famous song, “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” it might as well be titled “Benumbed, Bummed Out and Bored Silly.”

won't make it to the scapbook?

DR Ron Pulliam is correct. The weather in the Carolinas is very spring-like. There was a nice breeze blowing at lunch, but there wasn't a degree of coldness about it. By far the nicest day we've had in two months.

I walked around a bit when I went on my errands because it was so beautiful outside. And the grocery store wasn't crowded either, so I was in and out of there very quickly.

Congrats on the photo credit DR Jose.  and I love the photos of your back yard/courtyard area.  Looks like a great place to be in warmer weather.

As for this AOL business, I contracted my DSL service from a button in AOL who set me up from day one of DSL with a free AOL mail account. That way I could keep my e-mail address and not go through the hassle of changing to the DSL provider's address. I can also access the internet through AOL if I choose, but IE is faster with fewer windows open, so I prefer it.

I finished THE TUDORS episodes as I cooked and ate lunch. Natalie Dormer does very good work as Anne in the season finale as Anne faces her death.

OK, time for me to attempt a venture out.  I'm a bit concerned as the girl from next door who was stuck in her driveway now has her car across the street from my driveway making it very difficult for me to get out.  And another neighbor was blowing snow into the street when I came up stairs.  Hopefully he then blew it into the woods so we can all drive around the corner

There were two bonus featurettes: one on The Tower of London and one of Henry's descendants. Both were WAY too short to be very effective.

There were also cast biographies for all the principals (I was VERY impressed with the numerous degrees and musicianship of David Alpay who played Mark Smeaton.) And there was a steo=through photo gallery.

I opened one of my Christmas presents from last night - REAR WINDOW, the two-disc Legacy edition, and watched the movie this afternoon. This is far superior to the original DVD which is all I had. Always a very fun movie to watch.

I'm thinking tonight I may watch an HD-DVD from my remaining stack of unwatched movies. Maybe BABEL. We'll see what I'm in the mood for when I go back down.
