I never knew that DR Charles Pogue was also a Terry Pratchett fan.  :)

45 minutes, not an hour but good still.

I'm wearing my new shirt from Lands End and I'm all refreshed.

I just put time on Anthony's Cell Phone for his Christmas present. While he was in the shower I signed on to the Web site and added his minutes. It worked out that just as he finished I finished and his phone rang and he saw his present.

Instead of a romantic present I give him a practical present, but that's just me. And he needs the minutes and he was very happy to see his phone full of time.

And here we are on Page 4.

We need to finish the gifts for our Host and Hostess so I'll be going now.

Again, Happy Christmas (as my British friends say) to one and all.

And Happy 5th Day of Hanukkah to those who celebrate (tonight when you light the candles, that is).

I borrowed Stan's truck yesterday, because my car is still snowbound (or should that be again?).  I had to park it two blocks from the house last night, so that it wouldn't get stuck in the snow and ice.  Naturally I fell and screwed up my back walking home.

re: the TOD, some of my favorite books that i've read in 2008 (it's hard to remember which ones i read this year):

*The Twilight series (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn).
*The Host
*Sophie Kinsella's Undomestic Goddess, Remember Me
*The Lucky One, Nicolas Sparks
*James Patterson, Sundays at Tiffanys
*A Great And Terrible Beauty, Libba Bray
*Queen of Babble Gets Hitched, Meg Cabot ( i love this series)

I really should keep track of what i've read during the year. Cause I've read a lot, but forget what i've read when.

Vibes for DR TCB!  Do they sell those yak traks where you live? You put them on your boots and they make it so that you cannot fall on ice.

I don't know if they do or not.  I will have to look for them.  Of course, if I hadn't been frightened by the rat that ran towards the house up the street, I probably wouldn't have fallen.

BTW, thank you Jennifer for the vibes, but there are others who need them more than I do.

I'm up on this rainy Christmas morning.  It's not raining hard so maybe it will stop long enough for me to do the long jog, which I can do anytime up until about three.

Lovely to meet Drux and Mrs. Drux last night - Please remind me of your novels, that I may purchase them from Amazon and read them during the long dark nights of winter! And, in return, I shall hype my own engrossing and hilarious novel...

Please note the clean plates.
We always have clean plates at our house.

I think I conceived an idea for a new Christmas cookie last night--a Rum Ball with a chocolate liqueur filling.  I just need to formulize a recipe and then come up with a catchy name.

Euphemism Balls?

Der B is wrapping presents.

I've peeled and steamed the pearl onions, and had better get the white sauce made.
