Does anybody know a good recipe for chicken salad sandwiches?

On Christmas eve my aunt bought these amazing ones. The consistency was basically like tuna. I'd rather not used canned chicken. But i was wondering if i used boneless chicken breast and then put it in the food processor?  I don't want chicken cubes (if that makes sense).

I would shred the breast with a fork then chop the pieces.

PS cook the chicken first :)

Quote
Wilbur has a severe infection in his leg, and is about 20 lbs underweight. He had one leg bone completely exposed and then someone wrapped it so tightly that it caused the tissue to atrophy.
Wilbur is in good hands now and is getting treatment at the Best Friends Clinic but his recuperaton may take a while as he may be losing his back leg.

We need a comfy home for Wilbur to stay at until he is completely well and can go to his forever home.

Sure wish we lived closer.

Well, I haven't left yet.  I've taken some time while the DP is still slinging cake to contact the final member for my Anything Goes orchestra.  We're using the combo orchestration for the 1966 version.  However, there will be a lot of writing going on as certain directors can't seem to stick to one script and one score.  I guess this is what happens with the old shows.   Speaking of which, a certain choreographer needs the dance music for "Heaven Hop".  I'm out...

I didn't know that there was a 1966 version.  I had the LP (album) for the 1962 Off-Broadway production with Hal Linden.

Listed Recordings:

Original Broadway Cast   1934   Merman + Porter
Original London Cast   1935   Jeanne Aubert
  Film Soundtrack                   1936
· Studio Cast                   1950
· Studio Cast                   1953
  Television Cast                   1954
· Film Soundtrack                   1956   Mitzi Gaynor
· Off-Broadway Cast                   1962   Eileen Rodgers
· London Cast                   1969   Marian Montgomery
· Mexican Cast                   1984
· Broadway Cast                   1987   Patti LuPone
· London Studio Cast   1988   Kim Criswell
· Australian Cast                   1989   Geraldine Turner
· London Cast                   1989   Elaine Paige
· Studio Cast                   1995
· London Studio Cast   1995
· London Cast                   2003

I see no 1966!

der Brucer

I never knew that there was a television cast recording.  I wonder if you can still find copies?  Hmm, wish I knew someone who had some time on their hands.

Oh geeze --- my sincerest apologies to those who wish to check all dates of EVERYTHING.  It is indeed the 1962 version.  But SOMEWHERE there was a version in 1966.  Good Day!

There was a 1965 Tacoma production!  That is the only reason I knew there was a 1962 recording, because I believe that is the first OBC recording that I ever bought with my own money.

Sorry, Matthew.

I'm thinking at some point tonight I'll be watching ROSE OF WASHINGTON SQUARE from the most recent Alice Faye box. Of course, I'll also fit JUMPER off HBO-HD in there somewhere.

That's my favorite Alice Faye movie...and Jolson is at his best.

Song for a show in drag?

"I Enjoy Being A Girl", of course!

I know how one determines their porn star name, but how does one come up with their drag name?  I don't think I ever had one.

Oh, now Dan, I am sure you did, but let's talk about your porn name!

In any case...

If you happen to see a report on the news tonight about a man violently sobbing in the second floor galleries of MoMA, well...

Laters...

Would that be if someone touched or monkey?  Or if they didn't?

Just spent the past 2-3 hours plowing through old boxes of publicity files, deciding what to toss and what to take with us when we move to Austin.

Brought back a lot of memories.

We're going to Austin on Tuesday (6) for a week.  We're going to check out the progress on the house thus far, meets with various vendors, then on Saturday (10), I've got a book signing at Borders.

Those DRs with dogs and cats can and that are also on Facebook can feature their pets on their homepage.  See mine for an example.  The pets can then even start having their own "friends."

Is that going a bit far??

I got all the wallpaper stripped off the bathroom walls downstairs, but in the process managed to burn my wrist on a lightbulb.  That sucker was hot!  I put some water on it but waited until I was done to dress it.  It's worse than I thought it was so I'm not sure how much more I'll do down there this weekend

1 chicken + 1 head of lettuce + 2 pieces of bread.  Garnish as needed.

I'm kind of sick of the snow.  :)

Be patient - the mud slides are on their way.

der Brucer

Oh, they've already come--in fact, this morning's Oregonian had an almost full page picture of a house that was destroyed by one New Year's Eve.  You may have heard of the devastating slide in our neighborhood a few months ago that destroyed one house and knocked another off its foundation, and damaged several nearby residences.  It made the national news.

OW! That sounds really really painful.  I don't think mine is that bad.  I have put on medicine and dressed it, though.  I figured since I have a first aid kit, I may as well use the stuff

Jennifer, she probably uses her amazing Magic Bullet to make the chicken salad.

Well she didn't make the ones she served (she bought them). But i would really like to find a recipe to make it. I wish i had a magic bullet. They look cool!

If i shred and the chop wouldn't the pieces of chicken still be a bit large.

I really love the texture of the one i had. I hope it wasn't canned. The recipes i found online said to use canned chicken, which i've never tried. But it doesn't sound good. And i'd rather use real boneless chicken(which i have).

Not if you shred finely and chop finely.

(The ones you had probably were canned diced chicked - Swanson)
