Aaaaarrrrgh.  I just discovered the AC adaptor for the little Yamaha keyboard I use for the Pops has died!  I just got one on Ebay, but it will take a week or two to get here.  I'm hoping battery power will get me through tomorrow's rehearsal.  AAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH.

IN THE HEIGHTS seems awfully redolent of JRB at times, IMHO.

I think most musical theater composers under the age of 35 sound like JRB, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.  -However, since I live in southern tip of El Alto - Washington Heights and Inwood - In The Heights sounds a lot like the music I hear on the streets in my 'hood every day.

*And he's a sort of "scary" thought: Lin is currently making plans for his upcoming birthday.  His 29th(!!!??!!??) Birthday!!

The meeting we were supposed to have this afternoon has been postponed on account of sleet and rain and ice.

It's not a mop.

It's a steamer, and I do like it.  I use it on my appliances (great on grease buildup) and windows.

OH!   I know what you are talking about, yes I have one of those too

I've discovered it's one side of the adaptor's cords, the one that goes into the keyboard, that's faulty.  If I press on it really hard, the keyboard works.  However that makes conducting difficult.  :)

This is exciting! In my Google searches, I found a photo of the Houston Grand Opera production of BABES IN TOYLAND I'd never seen before.

So, he reached his destination after getting tired of waiting for an elevator?

Does no one else harbor secret hopes of being on a TV game show?

(of course I am too lazy to do anything about trying to find out how to actually apply to be a contestant but maybe someday Howie Mandel will show up at my house and ask me to be on the show... could happen!)
