I guess that reputation explains the low prices at the Imperial palace.

But after staying at Bally's, I can't figure out the low low prices available at times there, unless it's just that Bally's is a very nice well-run hotel without an exotic theme.

Perhaps they should add fjords, or a jungle theme?

Yes, we have no bananas.

We have no bananas today.

And, alas, the day that I went to Madeleine Patisserie they were, indeed, out of Banana macarons.  They were even out of the Banana/Passion Fruit ones.  However, the Lemon Confit/Chocolate ones looked like they could be Banana's, so... -And since Monkey has no taste buds, well... ;)

So, no workarounds for this revolting Photobucket problem?

You could just have some weird "thing" going on with your browser and/or computer right now.  When was the last time you Shut Down and Started back up again?

*Also check - manually - to see if you are in need of another software update right now. Apple (top left hand corner) -> Software Update etc., etc., etc.

I actually thought Newt Gingrich was quite level-headed, reasonable and realistic. Alas, I think all the panelists were today.  It really is quite sobering thinking just how much "stuff" President-Elect Obama will have to deal with right off the bat. It is inevitable that there are going to be some clashes over "priorities".

*And Peggy Noonan gave me a giggle when she pounced on getting in the last word.  ;)

The grits were today (in Richmond).  The macarons were last week (in New York City). However, I did not upload the pics of the macarons until last night.  There is a pretty decent French bakery here in Richmond, but I don't think I've ever seen macarons on their shelves.  Hmm...

I'm back from Toyland. The old computer seems happy in its new home, accepting all offersof friendship from the internet. Curtis came in to install Finale and to have a meeting with me on course of action for the next month and tyo catch up on what we'd been up to. The act one final edits are accomplished and I'm very happy with the beautiful work my colleagues have done.

Now, I have a few notes to update.

DR Matt H, welcome back! I'm glad the DSL break was a short one.

I'm pretty sure I've shut down since that update, and Photobucket didn't work two weeks ago when I tried to cut and paste (and I posted about it then).  I'll check for new updates, but it did one late last week.

Back from the long jog.  A stunning day out.  I ran more briskly than usual because I found yet another old pair of jean cutoffs - the ones I was wearing (the third pair during this diet) were making it very difficult to jog properly since they were literally falling off and I'd have to hike them up ever other minute.  I haven't had on these jean shorts I found today since around 1994.  I was actually shocked I got into them and they're not even that tight.

Well, Jose, I've checked for updates (none), I've shut down, and I just tried copying the image code and it's not taking, so something is amiss and it ain't with ME.

Today will be a busy day for me.  I'm working backstage at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts for the tour of Moving Out.  I'll be helping the wardrobe people.  Tour shows are more often scheduled during the week (and I have to use vacation time from my regular job to work on them), so it's nice to have one on the weekend when I don't work. :) Here's the poster:

It sounds like fun.  Will you also get to see the show?  I loved it.

Rarely, when I work a show, do I actually get to watch it.  During the show, we're usually downstairs in the dressing room or backstage helping with costume changes or just picking up costumes.  We can usually hear most of it, but not much seeing.  Oh, well.  It's fun and I get paid. :)

George, hopefully some of the male cast members will have quick costumes changes that you will be able to help them complete.

From your mouth...

I wonder what browser Jose is using that enables him to cut and paste.  I have now read the Photobucket bulletin board and the old copy feature simply doesn't work anymore and never will again, so they say.  But why some people can conventionally cut and paste and others can't, I just don't know.
