Ask not for whom the bell tolls.

It tolls for THEE!

For many of us here, this news item should raise an eyebrow and give some "pause":

Bye,bye, Boomers!

LOL. that makes me laugh. I'm only a month older than Obama, we've been called boomers my whole life.  So this makes me a Joneser....yeah right.

DR Ron Pulliam - I have seen that and enjoyed it very much.  I can't remember where I first learned about it...was it from someone here??

Well, I posted it around a week ago or so....

Sorry, Cill....I've been a bit remiss in "keeping up".   There's always the possibility of someone else having posted just about anything....but I never want to just toss it out if it's "good."

No problem. I'm not sure I called it by its title, just posted a link.  And I miss a lot of stuff too.  It is really a good one, I'm glad you reposted it

I've eaten way too much tonight but I still have bonus points left.  It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference. I've been trying not to use any of the extra points we're allowed every week.  So, I guess I'm testing it out.  Sometimes you just have to say what the hell.  I'll get back on track tomorrow. That's the plan anyway

I think Jose and I basically have the same computer so I'm not sure why or how he can manually cut and paste when I cannot.  I highlight, push Apple C, come here, push Apple V and there's nothing there.

But tinypic works fine, so that's what I'll do from now on.

I'd like a blow-by-blow of the Golden Globes, please.

Ohh... I just heard about the passing of Eileen Boevers.  She was the founder of the Apple Tree Theatre in Chicago.  -And mother of actress, Jessica Boevers and mother-in-law to Matt Bogart.  A true guiding light of the Chicago theatre scene has been dimmed, but will never be forgotten.

Back from a very long meeting about the very long script.  Now I know why the script is so long - its author talks a LOT.  Very nice chap.  I didn't really want to get into specifics, but I did make one suggestion about moving a number to the opening of act two, and he LOVED that.  In fact, right after that, he asked if I'd join the team and direct the staged reading - I hope it's not a decision I come to regret, but I said yes, mostly as a favor to the composer and lyricist, who are friends of mine.

Best phone call o' the day - Muse Margaret calling to tell me she loved every one of the fifty-eight pages - she had one tiny little note, which she was totally right about (I gave away a joke too early - an easy fix which required me to remove six words from a sentence), but she just had nothing but detailed and wonderful things to say, which, needless to say, made me feel GREAT.

And now I shall go have a dinner meeting with Miss Alet Taylor at CPK - I do hope it's not a thirty minute wait.

Well, if Slumdog Millionaire doesn't come to a theater near me, it's available on DVD in February.  It won screenplay and apparently the director made the screenplay soar.

I have to say, the slimmed-down Seth Rogen looked quite hunky tonight in his tuxedo.

Is niche's Twitter page coming up hard to read?  Her page has always been very clean and streamlined to me.

Yup, I put it in my Netflix queue and it says available Feb 2009.  It may be more specific on Amazon, haven't checked

My eyes are sensitive & I found it difficult to read, so I didn't.  I had no idea there was an entertaining commentary.  I'll briefly look at it again.

Ah, Netflix must still be using the "old" release date.  Before the movie started gaining "buzz" in Hollywood, there was a chance that the movie was going to straight to DVD here in the States.  Needless to say, with the film's current popularity and award-worthiness, I'm betting that the DVD release will be pushed back by a couple of weeks.  *And Amazon has no projected release date listed.

I just added the best foreign film, Vals Im Bashir', to my queue.  I'm wondering what else should be added.

I added THE READER (I read the book) & THE WRESTLER (I prefer to see this one on a smaller screen).
