I've had dreams....dreams that came true and dreams I pray never come true.

I've dreamed the obvious things based on things that worried me in real time.

I've dreamed of solutions to problems.

I've dreamed of meeting people I later met.

And I've also dreamed of speaking with friends/loved ones who had passed on.

I've had fantastic dreams -- UFOs in full formation in the night skies....and horrific dreams of a nuclear winter with me searching for my parents.

Some dreams have actually helped me change behavioral patterns.

And some dreams have scared the crap out of me.

My blood was drawn without incident (I actually had an incident once). I celebrated with a breakfast consisting of imitation egg-food product and unbuttered toast.

Note: Spell check suggests that I changed "unbuttered" to "unbuttoned."

My favorite dream is the one I've had many times where I discover a new room or wing or story in a house that I never knew was there. I think it comes from living in tiny houses for the last 30 years, but it's a dream I always enjoy when I'm having it.

Last night I had a dream; you were in it, and I was in it with you. (A Randy Newman reference...)

Oh my.....one of my top ten - or top FIVE - saddest things I have seen on TV:

Edith Bunker's passing on ALL IN THE FAMILY....and Archie goes home and finds her slippers under the bed.

Why shouldn't I make a value judgment about The Dark Knight DVD - it's crap, and it needs to be said.  Blu-Ray, I hate to tell you, is still very much a niche product, just like laserdisc used to be.  Maybe it will take over, maybe it won't.  But that is NO reason to foist substandard transfers on the MAJORITY of the people, who still have normal DVD.  In fact, it's spitting in their collective faces.

DR Edi--you mentioned this one before and I have the same kind of dream.  I find a very thin opening near a corner in a room and when I slip though it I find a cozy (though often dusty) room or new part of the house that is mine, all mine.

BK, is it possible that because this was a screener that it was purposely low-resolution to prevent piracy?

I did not question your value judgment on the DVD, I question making a value judgment on the film based on the SD DVD.

Blu-Ray is a very big niche - and growing daily; that it will overtake SD shortly seems inevitable. With the switch to all HDTV broadcast TV, Blu-Ray DVD players will be the norm. In 18 months, SD will be the niche.

I have dreamed that your arms are lovely,
I have dreamed what a joy you'll be.
I have dreamed every word you whisper.
When you're close,
Close to me.

How you look in the glow of evening
I have dreamed and enjoyed the view.
In these dreams I've loved you so
That by now I think I know
What it's like to be loved by you,
I will love being loved by you.

Owl and the Pussycat - I didn't appreciate that movie when I was  a child, but loved it when I caught up with it years later.

There was a recent article in Variety that says the opposite.  Whether it will or won't remains to be seen.  A lot of people have spent a lot of money on DVDs and do NOT want to buy into another format at this point.  I've had a hi-def TV long before you and I still have not seen the necessity to buy a Blu-Ray player - the best of the SD transfers are great.  I'm sure I'll eventually get a player and maybe sooner than later - we'll see.  In the meantime, whether I see a bad transfer of The Dark Knight or a great transfer of The Dark Knight, it's not going to change my opinion of the FILM.

Now I can't get "I Have Dreamed" to stop playing in my head.

But at least it's playing in the proper tempo.

That was the first thing that crossed my mind, but I'd already heard many complaints about the SD transfer, and I don't know why they'd do a completely separate thing for screeners, but you may well be right.

I've written a little over three pages, and am now trying to figure out a nice segue into the next sequence.
