DR Jose, those look delicious.

They were.  :)

And when I got to Chik-fil-A, the place was packed!  There was truly no place to sit.  Every table was taken, every chair spoken for.  And it was all families, which was very nice to see.

Then I noticed the "Kids Eat Free Tuesday Nights from 5:00pm-8:00pm" sign.  Ah! -Each kid got a free Kid's Combo Meal with each Adult Combo Meal purchased.  But still, it was very cool to see all those families eating together, and it seemed that most of the families and kids knew each other too.

*Although, I think the trade-off for the parents was that all the kids also seemed to be having desserts: ice cream cups, ice cream cones, shakes and/or brownies - which are not included in the "free" part of the deal. ;)

I went off to get another can in and fell asleep for a couple of hours again.  When I woke up my throat was very sore and my voice is the worse its been so far.   They did warn me that the cumalative effects of the continued radiation would continue to mount up, I guess this is what they were talking about.

Sigh.  Did you begin taking the medication for your throat?

No, not yet - I have some stuff I can drink to numb it but I haven't gotten up the nerve to try and drink it down yet as I have been feeling queasy and don't want the nausea to start again

That is understandable.  Did you get the spray stuff or won't it be strong enough?

The Flute Lick - that's the title of my next novel.

How strange!  My next novel is THE FRUIT LICK.  It is set in a San Francisco steam bath.

DR Vixmom - sorry "they" were so right.  Vibes for your throat and voice!

I am afraid I am feeling a little bit sorry for myself today - I think I will go lie down for a while and see if a little nap will restore my spirits

SPIRIT VIBES FOR DR VIXMOM!

The temperature is in the single digits here.....and the wind chill makes it feel BELOW zero.

I just watched THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY again....first time in UP convert.  Jan Sterling certainly gave an outstanding performance.

Than you DRs DAW, Ginny, & JRand.

It is difficult to comprehend he hasn’t found a good job.  He is bright, ethical, a hard worker & a very likable person.  I know, I’m his mother but others have always said the same to me.

I do like the Bloomin' Onion at Outback... but not as much as I love their coconut shrimp
(which I had to be persuaded to try as they sounded awful when described)
Which is where we dined tonight.  And we had their coconut shrimp.

Coincidence?  I think not!

I just found out something that DR Edi may find interesting -

AMC will be airing The Prisoner sometime this spring.

Not the original.  A remake, starring James Caviezel as Six and Ian McKellan as Two, filmed in South Africa.

This could be... informative?

Der Brucer is watching American Yodel.  I am already sick of it.

Laters, all.

The cats crack me up whe I'm on the treadmill.  Last time Callie jumped on and shot off the back...I had slowed way down and tried to tell her not to jump...it was pretty funny.  Tonight Boo just kept running around meowing.  When I was done I picked her up and now that I'm upstairs she's curled up and sleeping on my lap.

Hmm... I guess making "American Idol" a bit more kinder and gentler has also made it a bit boring.

Callie was ok, I was really worried. She jumped on the very back and just went about four inches and right off.  She landed on her feet, but it really scared her. I said "NO!" about 10 times when she was going to jump.  I decided to slow it way down but not stop it so she won't do it in the future when I'm going fast.   She almost did it again tonight but changed her mind.

Boo was running around the room.  I don't think she's interested in running on the treadmill.

Smart Boo. :)  Who knows though, dogs use the treadmill.  Maybe Callie will begin a new trend.
